Hello, I'm in the midst of my 340 swap into my 1974 Dodge Dart, trying to reuse as much as possible since I don't have much money so I'm keeping the 7 1/4 rear end for now and I'm trying to reuse the driveshaft, I've ordered a new slip yoke that mates to the trans but I'm concerned it won't mate...

It's possible that it uses a ford cap but I read on an old old forum that they use the cap and rotor off the gm 265 (one guy said specifically 56), doing some lookups on rockauto and ebay I found they looked pretty similar to what's on it. The ebay link I found that tune up kit on is expired so...

Did some research and part comparisons and it looks like it uses a GM cap and rotor and ford innards.

I thought that too but it's only got one coil lead on the cap

So, like an idiot, I'm pretty sure I lost the roll pin that connects the steering box and the shaft. Thought I had put it in a magnetic tray with all the other little pieces so I wouldn't lose it but I guess not. Anyone know the size or part number for a replacement?

I don't think the Z bar is messed up, though it could be, I haven't touched it since I disconnected the linkage from the 904. Also I do have the gear selector on the bottom lever, and I believe even if I flipped it around I think it would still be too long. Tried the 904 selector but it doesn't...
