extreme wheel alignment problem -- need help

Hi folks. Problem now solved with my Duster's alignment. The lower control arm bushing bolts had been loosened, then the car put back on the ground, then the bolts retightened. Apparently the bushings and all were fine and recently replaced but then not installed right. There was tension on...

extreme wheel alignment problem -- need help

Thanks for all the info gang. I just yesterday searched all over London for 2 good used tires to put on the Duster so I can drive it to the alignment shop. P225/70's for 14 inch rims are hard to find. But I guess they were made by Firestone up to the 80's for some trucks? Anyway I got 2 real...

extreme wheel alignment problem -- need help

Hi folks. I've been driving my new to me 70 Duster for about 1500 miles this summer between the raindrops. I got the slant 6 running reasonably well. When I first got the car the alignment was terrible, it went all over the place and the steering wheel didn't return to center. Got it...

    Fuel lines-vapor lock

I'm having the same problem. I was wondering why all these slant 6's likely ran well in the olden days of leaded gas, my dad's 62 Valiant station wagon had no problems ever with it even on the hottest days, and it was routed very close to the engine. But it's the unleaded gas of 2009. The...

Will a radiator overflow bottle automatically siphon back in when cold?

Looks like I have everything then but maybe the right cap. I should have taken the rad cap from the junker car I got the recovery bottle from!!! Is it specifically called a recovery cap or just one with a lower PSI rating. Thanks for he excellent info gang. The Big E

Will a radiator overflow bottle automatically siphon back in when cold?

Hello. I just put a junkyard radiator overflow bottle out of a 76 Duster onto my 70 Duster slant 6. I did it mainly to catch any coolant that might overflow on a really hot day and keep my driveway in better shape. Any ideas gang if it also will work like the newer cooling systems and...

70 Duster on the road in London Ontario

Thanks...well picked out by a previous owner at some point. I liked his choice on the Twister hood paint as well. It's not a 340 car so putting '340 Wedge' on the hood would be strange but maybe '225 Slant'!!!!! LOL The Big E

70 Duster on the road in London Ontario

The show was at London City Chrysler on Dundas street east in London on May 23rd. About 50 mopars appeared. I think it was heavily attended by WOMO, Dave Wheeler was there in his AAR Cuda. The mystery box has my old front seatbelts in it. Not complete but may come in handy for someone...

Rough idle when hot, fine for most other times

I think the fuel getting too hot is the issue as advised. I rerouted the fuel line basically like factory and it ran better than ever!! When we get into the really hot weather though I may try some fuel line insulation to keep it cooler still and maybe some type of float bowl heat shield...

Rough idle when hot, fine for most other times

yeah, the choke is opening completely when warm. The car came with no choke at all so I found one and put it on. Works well. That's an interesting point about the fuel overheating...I think that the fuel line from the pump outlet should run down low at fuel pump height and then come around...
