Block definitely, heads were long enough ago that I honestly didn't remember. I believe they magnafluxed the block at that time as well.

I didn't see one on my initial look, but it's definitely possible. I think the strangest thing to me with all of this is that the cooling system pressure test held. I would've expected to see some pressure loss with the coolant pushing somewhere as green as that oil was.

I know that's true, I'd just think it would be obvious. I'll make sure to monitor it more closely.

Not that I've noticed although it's basically been parked for 2 years so it's hard to tell for sure. It was just weird what when I pressurized the coolant system it held pressure - I would've expected that to push coolant somewhere.

Is the intake manifold still suspect on a big block? I wasn't sure if that was only on the small block cars. Thanks for the heads up on the timing chain.

I stuck a boroscope down the cylinders and everything seemed to look okay. Carbon buildup - seems like the car has been running rich based on that and the plugs but I think that's unrelated.

Hey all, It's been kind of a long road but I'll try to hit the important parts. 383 rebuilt about 7 years ago, but probably has less than 1,000 miles on it. Spring 2022, I went to change the oil and get things going for the season and it was milky and very green (picture attached). Car sat...

^Shoot, I'd like an electric impact for myself. He has a pretty decent pneumatic one, though. As far as shop tools, he's looking for a nice lift, but that's more money than I have to give.

It's fairly complete, all I can really think of is manual trans stuff. Maybe some nice heads, but I don't know that he really wants to tear into the motor anytime soon. He'd probably like some 15" Cragar S/S wheels if they had wide tires on 'em.

My dad is a lifelong mopar guy. He had a 69 dart when he was 18, and when I was 18 we got one for me. He now has a 73 340 'Cuda. Father's day is coming up, and he's turning 60 a few days after. Any ideas on what I should get him? I'd love to set him up with a 4 or 5-speed swap for his E body...

Man... That's my city. I had heard about it in a facebook group but I'm just now seeing the article. I drive that stretch of road several times every week. Praying for his family.

^I don't know, but I want to know, haha. I don't think that's something I'll need to worry about for another couple hundred horse. Car's going to be a cruiser. I guess~400hp, with 3.55s and a 4-speed should be plenty of fun. If anything I'll be more worried about a big gust of wind while headed...
