What do do with gas from a gas leak?

Gas will eat JB weld. Strain the gas through a coffee filter and reuse it wherever. TopHat

Ethanol blended gas (good or bad?)

Ethanol will eat up ANY rubber parts not rated for ethanol, such as fuel pump diaphragms, fuel lines, rubber accelerator pumps ect. There is also a LOSS in fuel economy on engines not specifically designed for ethanol. TopHat

    Stolen truck /dodge parts

No no no, shooting them is to quick and easy of a death for them. It should be legal to chain them up and drag them behind the car, just barely faster then they can run. It is ok to stop dragging when the piece of meat will no longer stay on the chain. TopHat

The front grill is not from a 64, looks more like a 66, though they do seem to interchange. Sweptline.org might have more info for you. TopHat

    big block old school?????

1.No real way to know if it has been rebuilt without opening it up. I don't know of any "industry standard" way of marking a rebuilt engine. Every machine shop seems to do it different, at least around here. 2. It depends on how the compression was checked, and how long the engine was...

    slant 6 header...slant 6 cam

Watch out on buying an aftermarket slant 6 cam. I have read on slantsix.org that there have been problems with aftermarket cams shearing oil pump drive gears. The problem seems to be with more then one manufacturer. Some people over there suggest having a stock cam reground. Regrinding the...

what does your early abody look like?

I posted my Dart on this thread about a year ago, of course things have changed on it since then so I figured I would post some updated pictures. Some of the things I have changed. Replaced the tired 170 slant with a freshened 225 and super six. Moved up from a 9" to 10" clutch...

    Sad day for Challenger lovers

I saw the title to this thread, and thought some REAL Challengers got hurt, then I read it and seen that we were talking about the new, plastic, thing that is being called a Challenger. I see no great loss, it is not like these things will, in 30 years, be worth anywhere near what a REAL...

Wow, cant believe this thread got this far without mention of my all time favorite band, The Grateful Dead. Though I like all kinds of music, I was, am, and forever shall be a Deadhead first and foremost. TopHat

    MISERABLE Mileage.............

If you don't need the cat chop it off, for "off road" purposes only of course  If you do need the cat, drill a 1/8 to 3/16" hole in front of the cat, use a metal tapered adapter to hook a vacuum/fuel pressure gauge in to the hole. Run the engine at 2000 rpm and look at the gauge...

    /6...318...or 360???

I too have to throw in for the slant. The 225 slant gives up almost 100 cubes to a 318. Yes a stock slant has about 7.5 to 7.8 compression. Most later 318's (what you can realistically find in the junkyards or trader paper) are in the low 8's for compression. At Summit a set of speedpro...
