Just thinking,,did you check your battery status? I had a problem with my Harley(59) when putting a Voltmeter between Ground and ?terminal on battery, the meter was all over the place,,put in a new battery, all well...

I just vad the same experimentera whith mine... The Pin in the oil-chanel... So much for having the engine rebuilt!!

I just had the same problem whith mine. It turned out to be the pin( the one thats directs the head) was out in the wrong hole,,,IT was placed in the oilchanel!! Hope you'll find out what's buggin yours.
