It's not just a MI thing, it's a ME thing too.. I bought a '73 Dart when I was 17 that had worse quarters than that- and this was in 1993. Left to my own devices I probably would've just goobered the hell out of it with bondo, but my mom's cousin (he owned a '70 Swinger 340 at the time) came up with a much more elegant solution- he cut the quarters off flush with the trunk pan. :angry7:
Hey...I say look the kid up! You could be a mentor. Show him how to sand or polish and use your car for practice!

Well, as always, you guys (especially daredevil) were right! The car that was on ebay didn't get sold. After the highest bidder flaked out, the seller contacted the 2nd highest bidder. He also flaked. Guess who was the third highest bidder? I got the 2nd chance offer yesterday and paid it today. I pick it up tomorrow. Woo hoo!!!!:cheers:
I will never understand it, but I guess everything does happen for a reason. This worked out so well, in fact, that I even wound up paying less than what the blue car sold for! Here's a pic:
