Its 10" MB drums on my 71 dart, i re-built the wheel cylinders last month, they were both leaking, now the LF (drivers side) is dragging enough to get the rim warm, i loosened it up & it helped, but its still doing it, the RF is fine, what should i look at, could it be the cylinder? I've never seen/had one hang up like this, now calipers on the other hand, can i rule out the MC or air in the lines??

abodyjoe, i would have never thought of a bad brake hose, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was it.

I'll check the springs again, but they looked really good.

What is the "loop" in the brake line (from the MC) for?

Thanks joe, like i said, i'll bet thats it "because" i would have NEVER thought of that being the cause lol.

I had this happen to me last month, Turned out that the wheel cylinder had rust in the bore, when you rebuilt them did you hone the cylinders with a brake hone??? if there is any wear or rust they are probabaly hanging up mine did, i got raybestes brake cylinders from Advance have not had any trouble since, let us know what you figure out.

I ordered a new hose, plus i'm going to double check the cylinder again, it wasn't bad "after" i honed it out, but who knows, its driving ME nuts & i want it fixed lol.

Thanks for the help!

I'd replace both hoses. Check both wheel cylinders for leaking. Especially the side thats not pulling.

O'Reilly's sucks, all there brake stuff is "Brakebest", should be "Brakeworst", i got the hoses, come to find out they don't have the "notches" so they stay alligned, there only circles, i'm sure Wagner has the right ones, but of coarse there special order, anyways, i loosened up the shoes some more & now there not dragging.

This happened to me,inside of the line was rusty and plugged.

Found it to be the wheel cylinder, i cleaned it out more, seems to be working better, the front shoe was hanging up.

Loop for vibration, so it doesn't stress crack.
