CV Plating closes....crap!!!

That sucks large. I was going to have them do an instrument cluster bezel for my '73. :-(

The announcement is up on the front page of their site.

I think there's one in Vancouver. Someone from the left coast might know.

CV Platers is in Vancouver and they did pretty excellent work. They will be missed.

I guess the cat is out of the bag so to speak I was keeping it quiet because the employee's hadn't been told yet.

Its a shame because Chuck is a super nice guy, he just bought and installed a bunch of powder coating equipment too. My intake was the one of the first test coating done, are high Canadian dollar, the economy downturn and a few other things thrown in finished him.....

Yes only until December 31st, 2010, he just got it up a running properly so I hope he can make some of the investment back.

Hey Nemo, how bout shakin the moths out of yer wallet and buying the company??

Hey 4doorraghead, how about us going in on it together?? We'll hire Wally to be a salesman, and Scott to be the janitor:bootysha: :toothy10:

Not sure why I'm joking about this. I'm still mad that we lost a great vendor for restorations, and Megajoltman says He is a good guy too.

Try Rusty Black @ www.chromeenvy.com 1-402-786-3689. They use a product called Spectra Chrome. Looks good, seems to be durable,(better than vacuum metalizing), good people.

Thats to bad, they did the dash in my cuda and my brothers dart. Not cheap but awsome work and attention to detail.

the real problem is all of the above places mentioned only do the "rechromeing" and basic black background. there is no one doing the woodgrain. i would not want to go black seeing as how i have woodgrain dash....

There is a place in Detroit area that did my buddys Mustang dash. Not sure of their name, but they did do the woodgrain. It was nice work too.
