Snow! %#@*! We Are Getting Hit Hard!

-
We ain't had none in the Denver area, although the mountains are getting a lot. They are telling us to water the grass and trees because its so dry. Oh well, we'll pay for this in the spring. Winter starts March 21st in Colorado...

Right now in Indiana it is snowing like crazy. We are under a winter advisory because the blowing snow expected tomorrow. Hope everyone stays warm and safe. A neighboring county is already on a level 2 snow emergency. I guess someone will get to play with their new toy tomorrow after I am driven to work.

It missed us up in northern Minnesota. They were predicting it but the cold air kept it south of us.
We got the cold and the wind felt like -20 degrees F.

Well, it's over. Got about 8" of snow on top of the ice from the freezing rain. The snow isn't so bad, but the ice sucks.

It's snowing like crazy in Birmingham! None of it is really sticking, but they already delayed opening some of the schools!!! Whenever it does stick, that's all the local news covers, the weathermen all go out to a bridge or overpass with a 12" ruler to measure the deepest snow they can find. If we get 1/2" accumulation, you can hang it up. Everything will close!

Nevermind, the sun came out. We stocked up on bread, milk and bottled water for nothing.

That sounds like Greenfield!!! (Well, except for the bridge / overpass part -- we don't have nun o'dat fancy stuff 'roun heah.) Everyone has to go to the store for bread ... and then they all just stand around inside the store by the front doors talking about the snow like it's never once happened before and they aren't quite sure what to do with it.

That's the worst. When they say the "S-word" around here, you'd better hope you don't have to stop by the store for something on the way home. Either the lines will be stupid long, or the shelves will be empty.

You people in the South are a hoot.:toothy10: I guess it's what you're used to. At least up here we don't have to contend with tornadoes (we do get the odd one but they usually just knock over the cows) or hurricanes.

Wow........Thats some wild weather. Thats stuff we usually get up here. Instead its been crappy,,,,rain and cold. Send it up here..i will take it.

LMAO @ just knocking over the cows Terry! The way that wind is blowing out there today -- all 12 degrees of it burrrrrrrrrrrr -- I think it's gonna knock me over too.

You can HAVE IT! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease ... I'm too old for this crap anymore. How Billy talked me into moving "where they have four seasons" I'll never know.

And ya'll realize that I'm just sitting here post-'ho-ing because it's too dang cold in the shop even with the heater on for a couple hours. Anyone has any extra ambition laying around, I'll trade some good old fashioned winter for it. :-D

LOL blu!!! Truth be told, I have a hand-me-down from my mom that's almost too embarrassing to describe that I've had since I was probably 12. Dark blue, heavy fuzzy material (almost like fake fur but not that thick), zips from the neck to the belly button, and used to have built-in rubbery feet. But they wore through and I had to cut 'em off a couple hundred years ago. :-D

I call it The Zoot Suit. And it's damn near cold enough to whip that bad boy out.

And NOOOOOOOOOOO there are no pictures of it. And there won't be. Ya'll don't need that kind of visual image of me. LMAO
