Gotta be cabin fever. The politics going on in this country isn't helping any but things are looking up. The Winter Solstice is behind us, the days are getting longer and Spring's coming boys. Soon we'll be back to doing what we do best. Working on cars, bitching about gas prices and answering the next class of newbies questions.

the part of this that should be at the very least embarrassing to those that engage......... IS that this actually needed to be said AND that it needed to be backed up with consequences to lean back toward the simple and common concept of being polite. If you do not like something that someone said......try one of the following...either let it go, OR disagree politely OR send them a PM.....public displays of ignorance in a thread or post via name calling and bashing type written words are distasteful and are by no means a reflection of what REAL benefits one might bring to a conversation.
I for one think Joey's strong suggestion to be a very good practice that going forward we should follow on our own accord, as I am certain he and the moderators have better things to do than play "hall monitors" for adults.

Thankyou Joey You are a GOD!!!! This whole abuse thing was turning me off a gold membership. I think I just changed my mind.
 
How 'bout the stone-ing thread,anybody being a TOTAL di#*k will get there own tread where everyone throws verbal stones and they can't reply 'cause they are on "vacation":munky2:

Hey Joey, when I respond to a thread I'm informed via e-mail when someone else responded. Is there a way you can send this link to everyone via e-mail so everyone can read it. I just noticed it and opened the thread.

I could, but most people dont recognize they are being a problem. How about this. If someone is being a problem, post this link in the thread for them to read.

An excellent idea Joey.

I've found myself visiting FABO less and less over the past few months because it seems that each time I log on there's a pissin' contest going on between a couple of internet heros. That's not what I want to read when I come to visit my friends here at FABO.

You arent alone in this regard. Strokerscamp is gone for good now. He knows he's not perfect by any means (nobody is),but the amount of stress resulting from name calling/abuse etc caused him to pack his bags. He is the sole reason for people helping me out,and I wish he would come back. But for him,it's too little to late. At least we are staying in touch via other means. Which is good for me,as I regard him as my personal savior.
 
This is awesome. Thank you Joey! Sorry it had to come to this but as has been said already, it's been going on for way too long and I for one am beyond tired of it. Glad to see I'm not alone.

And I know exactly what thread I'm putting a link to this in. It's got to stop.

I have been gone on vacation so I have not been on much only when I get a chance to find a computer. Looks like I've been missing out one some good old FABO talk.

That's why I bailed on being a Moderator & why I've been away for the last few months. Too many loud-mouths acting like they belong here. This site has become so popular that because of the numbers your bound to pick up knucklheads. And what I've found is if the long-term members start acting like idiots, it's easier to just put the knobs on your IGNORE list.

Either way, the flame is flickering here.....Too bad.
 
Ya it seams to be that some has forgotten what FABO is all about.This site had and still does helps me out in a jam,thatssss what FABO is all about we all agree RIGHT.

I kind of like the type of punishment they use on the www.slickdeals.net forum. You are given warning points and if you get too many in a 30 day period you are banned for 30 days etc. They also have a rule page showing how many warning points are given for each type of violation, maybe this could work here on FABO?

On another note: It's Terry's goat and he can do what he wants with it. LOL

Good move Joey. It never bothered me much as I just ignored it all, but I can see how it is not good for FABO.
