now we've all been Siemenized (thats my joke).

I know excatly what you're talking about. The day we were bought by Siemens, 20 consultants showed up & told us what we were doing wrong & how to do it better. Well we ended up losing more money in the 50 yr history of the company soon after they bought us.

They sold us last yr & now we are making money again.

Oh yeah, I won't mention how the germans always think everything can be done with less people & longer work hours.

"Always" is like "Never" it just doesn't work that way. "Some" or "Most" would be better, I know that all Germans don't think like that.

I could say the same thing about Texans but I won't because I know all Texans aren't like that. A company I worked for in the '90s was purchased by a Texas company and they were convinced that we had to many people employed, we payed them to much and they needed to work longer hours. It would not be fair to group in all Texans because of one Texas based company, same applies for Germans or any group or type of people.

I work for an Aerospace company in so.Cal I've been blessed to stay busy for over 20 years at the same company, I've seen the company at a high of 1200 people down to 150 people in 1997

What company were you with Dave?

Ya some of the companies executives (the older ones) love to treat people in North America like they do in third world countries. But those third world countries are getting the last laugh. Siemens is being investigated both by the German Justice system and other countries for bribery of government officials to get awarded contracts. We ain't talking small potatoes either, we're talking 750,000,000 $US (that's almost a billion) and of course the top company officials are pleading ignorance, yea right, we're talking jail time. Moral of the story maybe the German way isn't always the right way!!!!!!

Google siemens bribery for the latest.

Chuck you may be right when talking about recent German emigrants to North America, but when you're dealing with the older generation Germans still in Germany the superior attitude is alive and well, believe me. I'm the first to admit that they produce a fine engineered product, especially for the industry I work in, they just need to tone it down a bit.

Retired Mfg. Engineer from Rockwell Automation. Wrote machine code for CNC
equiptment. I was only 59 when I retired, but after 41 years of service I was
ready. Haven't missed it at all......I would rather play with the cars.

You have my deepest sympathies. You should be rewarded for doing a job not many of us could do or want to do. :goodman:

I thought that video sounded familiar. I had to watch a training video in Engine Performance Class about that same process. It was even a Chrysler Training Video.

Well Its nice that you asked what I did for the film..... I do Visual effects....not stunt work or Special effects....I only do computer graphics..And I cant even begin to tell you how many Cars/Planes/helicopters/ships I have Blown up on the computer And never put a scratch on one in real life......I don't smash anything....I didnt know what the job was before I started....I was told I was working on some shots with "some Muscle car"...And was happy to see two mopars ...The only crash I was ever part of was as a passenger in my friends barracuda back in the 80s.. And he got it fixed.....

so are you trying to tell me there was no actual harm done to a mopar i nthe making of the afore mentioned film? Or just that you PERSONALLY did not do the harm?

I don't like being Attacked like this.... And I even feel weird having to defend my self.... So you guys never watch car films?.....none?....Do you hate seeing mopars in films?....Maybe you just think cars should sit around at car shows getting polished?....And do you think that the cars in films become worthless after they film them?....who wants one of those cars? It was in a movie............Look I love my job. I feel lucky I got in it when I did. Mopars are in films because they are the most bad-*** cars around...not because people want to see them get destroyed....My best friend growing up had a 68 Barracuda and still does....My wife learned to drive in a 67 that her parents bought new...her brother still has a formula S..I was sooooooo happy to find a site on A-bodies. There are some great people on here. but I have never seen someone be such an AS%&^&

oooooo we all need to take a chill.

Not worth getting anyone angry over... really...

We each have a job and do what we do.. At least you have a good looking A-body to share with us. Sorry you are being attacked. Mopar lovers just love mopars.
