63 Small Block Distributor / Firewall Clearance

Run it out the front of the timing cover and use a shogun water manifold and remote Davies Craig water pump. then after you get that working, sell the design. Like this but without the belt, just a seal in the timing cover. But a stock dist on that firewall will be some figuring...Course youll have to figure out the oil pump drive too, maybe a dummy...or maybe Im a dummy even thinking about this

I have 360 in my 63 dart and still run the stock wiper assembly. I just "massaged" the distributor area where needed and painted over it. not the best looking job but you can't really see it behind the distributor unless your really looking. The key to success is to make sure you remove the wiper motor before you start massaging it. I didn't and broke the mounting tabs on the motor.

I put a 273 in my 63 dart, I don't remember having a lot of issues with the dissy.

Of course this was the 1980's and I fabbed my own engine mounts. I may have moved the engine forward a bit.
