I would like to get some ideas from FABO members on what you have

would like to have a sign made for the upcoming car season

pls post pics of what you are using

Make your sign and have hot chicks holding/waving them around like it's fight night in boxing/UFC/mma! It will definiately be an attention getter  (try to use girls that have both T and A)

I have been thinking about when my car is completed, and ready for shows ect making a QR code on a small decal to put in the lower corner of the rear window that will link to ether a build thread or a web site about the car, to give in-depth information about my car. Sort of a 21 century display sign. David

Flat screen with a well done presentation of the vehicle being built and random shots of different angles of it completed....just a thought

We use sandwich boards. We have some that are marked with arrows, some with written instructions, some with identifying things like registration, parking etc. make sure the information of the borads are simple to read and not open to interpretation.

This is mine don't know why i even made one nobody reads them. Short history of car,car info engine size ect. several photos of the barn where it was stored 1996/found 2006.The club i'm associated with, some ad photos.

went ahead and bought a digital photo display frame to showcase before, during and after photo's Then once done with show it will hang in the house. easy to change pictures by putting on flash drive, so will get used more than the show. It is sitting on a grinder bench, got a brand new grinder and never had a place to mount it, so after the show that goes to the garage

My display board (and yes people do stop and read them) took a good picture, had it made into a 20" x 30" poster added the text I wanted (only a couple of OH SH*T mistakes) $17 at meijers, bought a poster frame so total of about $32

This is what I have had made for the DUSTPAN for the show coming up this weekend and to be used all summer and local shows...

My goodness, ours isn't as fancy as all of the previous ones but it still gets lots of looks and comments. All I did was get a cheap easel at Hobby Lobby, some cheap frames, and made my own display. Top left frame holds historical/signifcant events from 1974, (ie; sports, popular music, political events, hits TV shows and movies, etc). This frame draws the most comments as people remeber back to that time period and what they were doing then. The frame on the right holds information on the car, (ie; VIN decoded, how many sold that year, the going price for the car then, etc, all found on the internet). The bottom frame hold 4 pictures of the car as found, dirty and neglected. We also have a small display in the trunk area.
"Ole Sarge" is a local rod from Temple, TX that basically goes over some history of the vehicle and its namesake.
Now maybe someday when the Dart is fully restored and awesome on the eye, we'll have a more elaborate display, but until then, ours works fine especially on a limited budget.

This is mine don't know why i even made one nobody reads them. .

I don't get out to many shows anymore, but I sure used to read 'em. I used to take photos of the car, AND the sign.

Mine will be in "black marker" "on plywood," the car in the parking lot:

=============================================================

"This is not a show car, it's a driver.

I didn't build it to please anyone but myself, so if you have any comments, be sure to have money in your hand. That's because if you are going to tell me what improvements I should make, then you should be ready to help pay for them.

This car is not "one" or "none" of something, it's just one of the stamped out cars that Ma made back then, but I like it. And that, is all that counts."

I always meant to make one with a dart board theme, but never did. Maybe add the slogan for that year "the good guys in white hats" "dodge rebellion" etc. Or maybe some of the advertising for that year make and model. I find it funny that in 67 Dodge advertised that the Darts had the biggest ashtray in that size car over their competitors.

Dustpan340,
I am looking for a display sign like you have, where did you get that one?
What are the overall dimensions on that? I have limited space.
Thanks
