Mopar Cop Cars ..New or Old ..Let's see um

Nice. A bud of mine had a Dip back in the early 90's that had that same look to it.
I liked that car a lot.

I found this "Roscoe" replica in a WalMart parking lot in Belton, Texas this past fall. Wanted to take more pics but was in a hurry. Wish it was mine!

Wonder why it has a low gear block out?

To reaffirm what was previously stated : Low Gear Blockout was utilised as a measure to avoid grenading the overrunning clutch ("sprag") .
This feature wasn't exclusive to TorqueFlites ; many a 9C1 (Chevy's police package sales code) had this as well ; the '91-'96 Caprice definitely had LGBO . I know this as I worked at a Chevy dealership in the 90's . This dealership was the go-to for Brea PD for their fleet purchases . I used to spend my lunch hour just scoping these new , pre-delivery Caprices ; and their window stickers specified :
- Low-Gear Blockout
- Silicone Trans Fluid
Also , a sticker which read "Over 60 MPH , Use Overdrive" was placed on the dash , above the speedometre .

So , yes , LGBO was definitely necessary on T-Flite-equipped A38's . It had something to do with the way the low-reverse band was applied or something .

This is one that we had lettered a few years back.

One of the nearby cities has a Harley that is slightly darker than B5 blue, with an orange pinstripe, and the "POLICE" text is in Navy blue.
You can't tell until you're about 50 ft or less.
All the others are white "standard cop bikes".

Louisiana used to have metallic brown Durangos with a circle emblem the size of a softball on the back door.

Saw this last year.

Here is the Gran Fury as it sits today. I did 'make' a proper Plymouth hood emblem for it out of an older Plymouth hood ornament and a bottom half of an M-body ornament. And thanks, YY1
