hey there fellow canadians.
just starting on my 69 340 4 gear swinger. orginal car
northren BC.

I guess I should post up here again since a) I've changed cities and b) I've bought a new a-body!

I'm back in the Nation's Capital again after 5 years of living on the west coast and just picked up a 72 Demon last week in Montreal. Here's a pic:

Dave, would you mind me asking what you paid for your Demon?? I own a 71 340 with 48,000 original miles.

I can't believe I've been on here this long and missed this thread.

I have a 1970 340 Swinger. The car has been dormant for a while now, I couldn't get it started and the battery is now toast.

I need to A) get a new batt. and B) find a Mopar know it all guy to mentor me a little, I'm long on desire but short on practical experience. My previous hookup on car skills moved out of town and we didn't stay in touch, he actually moved back but I haven't talked to him since then.

I'm in London.

There is one more Dart in Winnipeg, a 68 GT to be exact, I bought it years ago in Woodlands and it has since been a "work in progress".

It was just a plain jain 68 GT 2dr HT 273, auto. I am converting it to big bolt pattern (disc brakes and 8 3/4 rear)

It is currently on a rotissery getting cleaned and new sheetmetal.
Lots of work to do yet.

I had planned on getting it done before I had kids, but that didn't happen!

I might post some pics later.

Howdee from Winnipeg, Manitoba......eh? American's like that "eh" stuff and it kind if sticks on us Canucks just like "how you all doing" does on a Texan. I'm doing a rotisserie restoration on a matching numbers 1970 Dart Swinger 340 with buckets, console, rally dash, power steering, and brakes. I just finished another one in banana yellow and sold it to my friend Jamie. Just last week he tried out a maximum top end run on a controlled race track and the 727 tranny blew some internal parts and shredded the case and siezed which caused the front drive shaft yoke to snap which caused the drive shaft to drop. Expenses were $150.00 for a tow truck, $1,600.00 on a new tranny, $25.00 for a drive shaft loop, and $6.00 on a pair of new underwear after the scare! Priceless!!!! :butthead:
Here are two pics of the car. I have a Dart Swinger restoration web site that show restoration pics and other stuff. www.mts.net/~hpokrant

Hartman.. I bumped into your car (not literally) about a month ago in the parking lot of the vendor on Pembina & Jubilee. Not sure if it was you, or your bud driving, but stopped for a quick hello. What caught my eye was that it is a restored version of one of my projects! Even snapped a couple of pics of it when it headed south down Dunkirk lol.. Really wanted to see it. Looked SWEET!

My wife was laughing when I showed her the pics I snapped from the van... and was even suprised I didn't follow the car home lol.. She was a beaut Hartman.

im seth, where to start, i live near Saskatoon i wont say exactly..no offense to anyone.. iv owned my Plymouth duster for 5 years now, it was a 225 super six, and now she houses a stock 383 4bbl from a 69 Newport, and only have approx 1000 miles on her since finishing it last spring.. some of you guys out there may be cringing but, these are my only wheels, and in my opinion its a car and it deserves to be driven...and hey it can always be rebuilt somewhere down the road in the future right?? i don't mean bagging it around everywhere but normal wear and tear.. i also understand why some of you guys restore cars and, drive them to a minimum,:angel11: but thats not my thing...:brave: hope you likeDSC04921.JPG

Hello Folks,
I am from south eastern Saskatchewan.
Unfortunately, I don't have any finished A Bodies to share with you.....only projects
Below is my numbers matching 1971 340 Duster,my wife's 1970 Duster / 6 auto(soon to be a 340 5 speed) on the rotisserie and my latest find, a 1972 340 4 speed Demon rolling chassis. The tor-red Duster will be the last one to work on. I'm committed to finishing the wife's Duster first. My wife said she can't remember asking for a Duster:scratch:.......She says by calling it "Her Duster" it's a guilt free way for me to have more than one A body, The Demon, she informs me, better be the last one!!!!!!!
