These are pics of a 2 1/2" exhaust from Jegs, this is what comes in the box.
Used with Hooker headers
Box says it fits 67-69 cuda, 67-74 Dart/Duster a-bodies

I bought that kit for my 69 Barracuda and used it for about two years.
For the price it was fine, but I did need to use some other pipes in places. I think the kit is made for Hedmen or Hooker headers, I was using TTI headers.

I needed a different bend where the exhaust connects to the header(s). I used Hedmen S curves to make that transition, they cost me around $40.

I now have a shop installed exhaust, but I am still using the Jegs mufflers.

One of these days all my little piles of parts will be a
big pile of car!

I've seen alot of guys asking about the Jegs and Summit systems
At lease they can see what they get in a Jegs box for 179.00 bucks.
The pipes look pretty out of the box, I hope They fit as
good as they look.
I'll add a cross over pipe when I install it.

i cant help but to slap mine on as soon as they come in.I was wondering about an h pipe,i really like everything else about the exhaust system though
 
The Summitt kit I bought didn't have those longer pieces that run from the front pipe to the mufflers. Instead of 2 pieces like yours it had 3. I like yours better.

Anybody ever cut a later A system down to fit an early A? Bedsides modding the tranny cross member, what else needs to be done? Will the muffler-back sections work?
 
I'd be interested in how much modification would be required to make it fit an early A as well. I guess that it wouldn't fit straight on because I think the gas tanks are different?
 
Jegs and Summit exhaust kits come from the same supplier.

I bought a 3 inch kit from summit.Havent put it on yet.I will let everyone know how it fits.Wasnt happy with the great big stickers on each pipe real pain to remove them. Jim
 
Thanks for the pics Longarm. I'm planning on getting one of these kits also and wondered how they'd look. I wonder how the mufflers sound? Anybody got them on and if so what do you think about the sound?
 
I have the mufflers on my car still, I think they sound good. Not to load, but plenty of guts. I think the manufacturer is IMCO, or something like that. It has been a few years since I installed the Jegs kit, so the supplier of the mufflers may have changed

I have the 2.5" kit on my 69 Swinger 340 with factory manifolds and I think it sounds awesome the few times I have driven it around the neighborhood. I had to fab up the joint where it connects to the stock front down pipe, but other than that, it fit pretty well.
Like someone else said, it would have made life easier if I had started from the back and worked forward, but working from the front to the rear is OK too.
The car is quiet on the inside with no resonance echo, and no additional sound deadener installed, but sounds mean from outside the car.
Would I buy another kit? Absolutely.
I would imagine the 3" kit to be a little more difficult to install especially over the axle where the shock absorber/gas tank is, but keep in mind that I installed the system alone while working on the garage floor and the car on jackstands in 90º heat. Total cost including shipping was just over $200.

That is identical to the summit kit. The only difference I see, is the instruction Sheet. Yours says Jegs, mine say's Summit.
 
this is my kit fits 67-74 Dart,Duster/Deamon&Valiant also Satellite, Roadrunner,Charger,Coronet,Super B & GTX.From muffler Tech B.C. Canada 1 604 945-3539 Cost in Canadian dollars was without mufflers, sent to my door 345bucks.As you can see only four pipes.Soon to be installed by me.

I just ordered the Jeg"s 2.5 kit for my '71 Duster with TTI headers. I figure it"s ok to order from Jegs now. They "do" run a Mopar Pro Stocker! I should get it in a few days. I will post pics any other info when I install it.
