Just got two new 15x8 4.50 BS Torq Thrust lbp from summit today. I measured and reasearched and all signs were that they would fit the rear. Now that they are here it is not looking like they will. I have no problem with the back side it is the outside. Using a straight edge with no tire on it just the rim it is 3/4 of an inch from the inner lip on the passenger side and 1/2 of an inch from the inner lip on the driver side.

It is on a 1967 Dart GT original A body 8 3/4 with B-body springs. I only want to put 245/60/15 on it. Any advice would be appriciated :banghead:

hmm with am A body rear it would be perfect but i think the b body is 1 or 1.5 wider? so you would need more offset to offset the wider rear

It is B body springs only not the rear end. The width of the rear end is the same. The shackle kit bolts up to the a body hangers nothing was moved.

I may return the rims and get 15x7 but they only come in 3.75 back spacing in the torq thrust gray. Not much of a difference.:violent1:

stooped out... i read not only rear end instead of only not the rear end... dyslexic! those should be fine

What axles and brakes do you have on the "A" body housing since it is lbp?

No problem with dyslexia. I get it also. They should be fine but tire bulge is what worries me. Right now I can still return them, if I mount a tire I cannot. I own the rim. Costly error.

Should be fine even with 1/2 right now from the top edge of the rim to the inner lip of the fender on the drivers side? I would think the tire buldge is close to or more than 1/2 inch.

They are Dr. Diff A body axles LBP and Dr.diff factory backing plates with 2 1/2 inch pads.

Ok.
I have the same rear end set up in my duster.
I would look at a wheel with 4.25" back space, 7" wide.
That would give you about 1.25" to 1.5" on the inner lip of the fender since your measurements varied.

Outer hub to outer hub is 57 1/2 inches in length if that helps anyone.

That is what I am thinking. I may have to choose a different rim due to sizing issues. Thank you!

I am thinking that 15x7 5x4.5 with 4.5 back spacing would work great any comments?

I know I am rambling. Too beers and watching the Eldora race. NASCAR on dirt that is different!!:burnout:

you might want to check these wheels out, the're on my valiant, these wheels are 17x7 in size, and have a 4.25 bs. these particular ones are small bolt pattern, but they come in lbp also........i'm very pleased w/these wheels.........they also come in chrome, and grey, and there are a few different styles.......and very well priced!!

Can you get Dr. Diff's A-Body hangers and gain another 1/2" per side. That would give you 1.25 on one side and 1" on the other. The 245/60/15's in BFG's are 9.8" in section width, so 9.8-8= 1.8 1.8/2 = .9 bulge per side. It will be close. May have to roll the quarter lip some....

Run a 15X7 with 4.5 and the Dr. Diff hangers and you would be golden.... Check out Billet Specialities Legend Series Rival G it you like the torque thrust D's..... That is want I will be putting on my Dart.

Legend Series Rival G's

You can get 15x7's with up to 4.75" BS and 15x8's with up to 5.75" B.S. You may not even need the offset hangers if you are good to the inside.

I do not want to roll the inner fenders. I think I will go with Weld Pro stars 15x7 5x4.5, 4.5 back spacing.

I will look into them they are only 35 miles from the house. They look good. I have never heard of the them. West coast does not have a whole lot of Mopar companys.

1/2" will not be enough clearance IMO. I think your main problem is it sounds like you used a different rear brake package "wider" than a stock "A" body when upgrading the axles. I'm just going on memory with that theory, I think factory rear "A" body brakes were 2" or even 1.75".

The 245/60/15 is a oddball size I would go 255/60/15 if it will fit for more tire choices and probably a better price.

How much clearance do you have to the leaf spring from inner wheel? I would use a backspacing that centered the wheel between the leaf springs and fender lip.

I will look in to the hangers. I did not know he had them. Side note I am from the south originally and will be moving to Tennessee in 5 years once I am done working in Socal. Maybe I will see you over there. Thanks

doctordiff axles accommodate the standard LBP 2.5 spacing so you use those backing plates and brakes. i have b body 11x2's on my dart. but your correct stock SBP axles are 2"

Well, my 11" rear drum LBP A Body rear required 5.25" back spacing to center a 17x8 rim in the wheel well of my 69. Ideally 5.375" would have been perfect.
