I lost my dad/best friend last night.

My condolences. I lost my dad over 20 years ago and the empty space remains. Remember the good times and be strong. He would want that. Prayers sent.

Sorry to hear this ,Prayers to you and your family. He sounds like he was a great friend,dad and man!! Cosgig and I lost our Grandma back in 97 the same way, was out with the family then got home and gone:( A big FABO hug from us to you ( ).
 
My condolences. Its hard to believe but time will dull the edge of the pain and make the memories sweeter. All the best, Wayne
 
I lost my best friend when I was 24. I am 59 today and I miss him still. Sorry to hear about what happened, but he didn't suffer and he did all he could to get you ready for life. Many never have what you had. Soon we will all be together again.

I lost my Dad in 1999 and my Mom in 2014

I know what you are going thru right now.

Treasure the memories of all the time you had - even if now it seems so short. He'll always be with you as long as you keep the memories close.
I lost my dad when I was 7.
 
Thank all of you for your kind words. The funeral was yesterday. What a tough thing to go through. Dad was a Vietnam Vet so he was buried at Ft. Mitchel Al. We had a normal service for friends a the funereal home and then the family went to Ft. Mitchel for the Military funeral. WOW... Folding the flag, the 21 gun salute and taps was a hard thing to go through.

Sounds like he had a nice service....the military ones give me goosebumps, they did the flag folding at my grandpas service, great to see they don't forget about their veterans....remember the good times and hang in there, time will help too i'm sure.
 
Sorry for your loss. Lost my Dad in April.
Taught me everything I know about cars. Which is all irrelevant during
the grieving stages. Stay strong, your Dad will always be watching.
 
my condolences on your loss,i lost my father 5 years ago april 13th,and still miss him. just like you and your father, we had those daily phone calls ,I think I miss those the most, not hearing his voice .time will dull the pain some but hold onto the memories, speak of/to him often .I still ask my father advice from time to time.
 
Stephen, please accept our family's most heartfelt condolences on your Dad's passing. My own Dad passed when I was very young and I still remember him and miss him to this day.
