Joyce and I will be heading out in a few hours making our way down to Florida. My Daughter will be getting married on Saturday, in Orlando. I'm very happy for her, and I hope I can hold it together.. She is my baby. The youngest of three, and the other two are boys.

My son-in-law to be asked me for Jill's hand in marriage over the Christmas holidays, and now it's time.

There was nearly a year of planning, and deciding and re-deciding that went into this, I took dance lessons so I could dance the traditional father/daughter dance with her, and Saturday is coming up, quickly.

She and I will be arriving at the church in a 1940 Hudson Convertible that belongs to her future Father-in-law. He's a true car guy, too.

Well, that's it, I'll see y'all on the other side.

congrats to the two of them, he must be a fine young man, to ask you for your blessing.

Congrats! Enjoy the day...It will be special, I guarantee it. :thumbrig:

I had a hard time getting thru my oldest daughters "1st" wedding 13yrs ago. Yep, the tears flowed all the way down the isle...

Congrats, and best wishes to them on a long and happy marriage!!

Congrats

However, I dread the day my daughter begins liking boys.

Wonderful. I know it will be an emotional event!!!!

I had two boys so I didn't get the chance.

I know you'll enjoy it!!

I'm sure it will make you very proud to walk her down the aisle.... Probably make you a little teary eyed as well.

Enjoy the day and just remember..... she may be married and all grown up, but she will always be your little girl.

Congratulations Frankie. That is a moment that you will never forget.

Congrats Frankie!!!! As mentioned, I've been told grandkids are as fun as your own kids, but the best part.............

is grandkids you spoil and send BACK! :D :D :D

At least thats what my Dad said with my Daughter when shes was fully all sugared up, covered in chocolate, needing a bath and oil and grease up both her arms from the garage......This WAS of course while my whole family was on vacation to see my side of the family..... EVERY year. just how grandparents should be.
