Will a 275 55 14 fit with out mini tubing or rubing on any thing I know they will fit on the rim just wanting to make sure they will fit in the wheel well before I buy them or what is the next size down that will fit with out a lot of work this is a budget build so less cost the better

Problem is the width also. Look at the recommended wheel size for that tire.

Not many people run 14s. It's hard to find tires.

Ok then what about a 26 x 9.50 14 then

thats what i ran. my dart was big bolt though.. 26x9.5-14 hoosier qtp on a stock 14x6 rally wheel..

they worked pretty well...

Well I have the small bolt pattern and stock 14 x 6 wheels and was looking at the same tire for my duster so I can hook up at the track so they fit good with out having to do anything extra to the wheel wells or the having to move the springs in

I'm trying to shoot for 11 time in the quarter I'm hoping to get there with a 175 shot any tips would be greatly appreciated or if it is any way possible with my setup

I did no wheel well mods and they didn't hit the stick location springs. Remember though. Big bolt with big car brake rear is a hair wider the stock small bolt. Not sure if it's a problem. I doubt it is but don't personally know for sure

Well on the back I have 235 60 14 bfgoodrich ta radials on the back I have about 3/4 of inch between the tire and spring

you should be able to get into the 11's with them too.. mine went 12.17 with a 1.63 60' time.

Yea but you probably got more motor then I have all I have is a 318 with a roller whiplash cam magnum heads duel plane intake and 175 shot

Well I'm think I have found the tires I want but can't decide which one I should get

Well I would go with the 26 inch tall tire but I don't know if I'm going to make clearnence

Plus I still plan on driving it on the street so I want something street able

QT Pro is a bias ply soft compound slick. They are not meant for street use. The DOT stamp on the side is so you can run a DOT tire race class.

That's why I'm looking at the mickey thompson they fit and can be on the road with out problem I knew the other was a slick but this isn't just a track car

I've installed 275x60r15's tucked in a 73 Duster. will clear with the correct backspacing on the rims. 14x6 rim won't have the correct backspacing to clear. I had 15x7 with 4" back spacing and had to roll the quarter lip. The 14" slicks will need the correct rim and back spacing. With that being said, if you're gonna lower the stance of the car and try to tuck that much tire, its not gonna clear. The stock wheel tubs tapper as you go up towards the top. The Quick Times are street legal, but don't try to drive them in the rain, plus the little slits that are cut into them that makes them streetable will cost you. I've seen these things hold water after driving thru a water box, causing the car to break out.

Hahaha. :goodman:

Unless your sizing for a Honda, good luck with it. 15" will be tough, seeing as all of the pony sized cars, like ours, are 17"+ to make the best of current tire technologies that are light years ahead.

I gave up on 14-15" too much good stuff going on further up stream.. The final blow is you pay more for the old sh*t...

What part of on a budget do you all not understand I'm looking for suggestions not smart *** comments you may have the money to blow on new rims and bigger tires

Well, there is a point that paying to little doesn't pay you back in performance, reliability or safety. A 15x8" steel rim is $50 new shipped from Summit/Jegs. A set of used 17" mustang rims are $100. Got to pay to play man. Really breaking the bank here!!

There is "budget" then there is "it ain't even worth posting a thread about". Mopars cost money, they $20 you to death; just be glad it ain't a BMW or a Porche, they $100 you to death.

But why do that when all I have is a small bolt pattern 7 1/4 that I'm going to end up blowing up and won't be able to reuse the rims or tires so would be point less to spend all that money on buying rims that are sbp and not being able to reuse them on a bigger rear end in the future
