It's swapmeet time tomorrow and I have some extra 4 speed stuff and I'm having trouble letting go. On one hand it would be cool to see the stuff get used, but on the other hand what if I need a part? Or Worse some profiteer just wants to lowball me for it so he can take it over to his booth and double the price for someone who could use it on a project they're trying to put together. This stuff just doesn't seem to grow on trees or fall into my lap to easily.

I think if your in the mopar game, you best keep anything you might need in the future.
a penny made today will cost you a dime in the future if you need the part.

Commitment issues eh? If you save it all, you'll wind up like me. Storage sheds full semi trailers full, of parts I might need one day.

I sold a lot of hard to get parts there last year to get my a100, and will pay dearly if I need them again. Going this year to see friends I rarely see and maybeeee to get some good stuff!!

I always make it a rule that if I have duplicate parts of anything I have running NOW, I keep them.

Sell it for what you feel it's worth, tell the profiteering low ballers to get f'ed.

You accept low ball offers? Which booth were you in again? I'll be there Friday and I agree, don't sell for less than you want. If its nice part and priced right it will sell and you and buyer can BOTH be happy. No regrets that way.

Follow your gut, dummy. If you're havin a hard time lettin it go, then don't.

Since I blew up 2 O/D boxes, on the street with just 295s, I'm not keen on letting any of my spares go.
Ima thinkin the non-od stuff is tougher tho.Did you read the thread about the guy , who, at 800hp, keeps blowing up 3rd gear? The back story there, must be;he doesn't blow anything else up in that box.
Still, Ima keepin everything.
At least for another year...........

parts are scarce around here and it took me a long time to find what I have .I will only sell to a friend that's in a pickle .

If you're not a seller, why get a boothto sell stuff?? I learned a long time ago not to have sellers remorse! If you see your item in another persons spot, just be happy in the fact that you got your price, which you must've agreed to or you wouldn't be holding the $$$, and if they want to try to sell it for more, well, it's their part now!! Or, keep it all and hoard it.....just in case!!!

If you're not paying to store them, keep them if they fit your car.

well I always have some stuff to sell and a lot of times it's not even related to moopar in particular. And quite honestly having a booth basically gives you a three-day All Access can get in early free parking for all three days of the swap meet and it turns out if you bought parking for 3 days and admission for 3 days it would be less expensive just to get a booth.

space - the final frontier.. it is tough to sell off the "collection" BUT - food for thought here - - think of the usable space you'll have soon... only let go of things that you're better than 70% sure you'll never need... as clear as mud right... glad I could help. :D

If you do not NEED the space, and you do not NEED the money, don't sell. The items will likely creep up in value as time moves forward at a better rate the banks are paying on savings accounts.

I was really glad years back when I got rid of all my extra parts. BUT, when I was building cars , I found every time I sold a hard to find part, then in a few months I bought a car that needed that part, it always costs me, more $$$ to replace the part, time, gas, and phone calls to locate said part!!!!!! LOL

yep, $$ ahead to get a swap spot at most deals, bring a few parts that you do not need, price them for what you need, if they sell o k, if not, so what!???

I kind of am in the same boat, I have a set of 340 J heads that I have been holding on to for years, I am running X heads on my car, and if I ever build my extra engine, I will probably run aluminum heads so why am I keeping the J's ? I don't know. Probably cause they are 340 parts I suppose.

I am a hoarder and I know I have issues lol. I just scrapped and gave away a bunch of stuff I didn't have a use for. I call it a garage purge. I am about to do another one as I organize my garage.
