dry *** calif , my grand ma planted that tree in the early 50's it is a evergreen douglas fur .

I guess your area of Penn looks about like my area of Illinois.... Hills, color, leaves, pretty drives and lots of rivers....
 
I think Friday my wife and I may take a trip into the mountains of Virginia via the Blue Ridge Parkway.
 
Hard pressed to find any color in SoCal. About the only change here is the leaves turn brown and fall off the trees.
Here's some pics from the eastern side of the Sierras around Bishop, CA...

After living in Marina Del Ray years ago the seasonal changes were one of the things I remember missing. Love being back home in North Carolina.
