I'm going to order Rallye wheels from wheels vintiques. Will a 14x7 4 1/2 BS wheel fit on the rear of my 66 Valiant Signet? I'd like to go with a 205/70/14 or 225/70/14 or a 235/60/14. Front would be a 14x6 with a 195/75/14. What do you guys think?
Thank you...

We ended up with their 15 inch rallye on the rear of Jake's 65 B'cuda. put 235/60/15 on it and might be able to go with 245's.... so I would say yes you will be fine with your 14 inched choice.

I would stay away from Wheel Vintiques. I regret buying my 15" rallyes from them. Within a year they were rusting in between the joints/down in the crevices a good amount, and even some surface rust through the powder coat. I couldn't believe it. I live in SoCal and the car is garaged 100% of the time. I don't commute either so it's barely driven, maybe 3k miles total.

I got into a big argument about it with their customer service guy who was a huge asshole. Luckily through some phone number searching I was able to get a hold of his manager. After sending him several pics they sent me a brand new set of 15" rallye wheels. Good right? Well unfortunately I could tell right away the new ones were crap. Down in the joints (where the center meets the outer wheel for instance) and around the cutouts, there wasn't any powder coating. Bare metal. IDK if they're using machines or people to spray the powder coat on them, but it's a very thin layer and it's not sticking down in the crevices.

I would NOT buy from them again, ever.

For 15's in a small pattern, you have little choice. Can you get them bare? Powdercoating is not that expensive. argent spray bomb and clear coat is even cheaper and easy touch up. For that rust, dribble some evap-o-rust in there while they are facing up on the ground. Leave it overnight and wipe out, rust will be gone then youll have to treat again. I acid dipped mine, neutralized, primed and painted and Im still getting rust peaking through...?

For 14" I would think that a good used set would be the best route.
But good 14 " tires are getting more difficult to find than the wheels.

weird. i bought rally wheels from there for my dart years ago.. my car was stored out doors and i never had an issue with rust popping through.. bought a set of steelies from them for jamies dart in a custom backspace and service was great. wheels came when they said they would and were the correct backspace. just bought a set smoothies from them for my truck and they look great too.. infact the body shop guy thats paintintg them for me was impressed witht he epoxy coating and how well covered they were... i've had nothing but good experiences with them..

Classic example of a customer with repeated good experience vs a customer with repeated bad experience. I'm sure Wheel Vintiques didn't get as big/known as they are with making 100% bad parts, but there's definitely issues as I displayed. Just be cautious if you buy from them.

If anyone wants pics, its been nearly 3 years now. I will clean my wheel vintiques rallyes and take pics so you can see the rust. Again, San Diego, garaged, lightly driven. There shouldn't be any rust.

Once these tires wear our or go bad I will be having the wheels sand blasted and re-powder coated by a reputable shop.

No problem. If you hear anyone that has a good set of 14's that is local, please let me know. If not I think I can wait until the Mopar nats. :)

How local is local? I have a set of 14s, 4.5" fronts & 7" rears. I sold the car I intended to use them on. In PA though, near Carlisle. I can get a photo if interested?
