Has anyone installed the Air Gap on a Magnum engine. Problem I have is the by pass hose dosent fit or work without kinking. I have the LA style bypass and the short magnum style hose wont work with the air gap. Does anyone have a part number on a hose that works.

Problem is the angles are off, so even if cut to fit it kinks some.
I've wondered if something like this would work (3/4" ips x 1" barb), but can't quite picture the angle or spacing in my mind...

I can and it looks like it would make it a lot better to deal with.
Consider the outlet pointing at a 45 like the line I drew on the picture, as well as the fact that it could also be angled up some also.
Looks like the factory style molded hose would work just fine with that in there instead of the straight one.

That's the combination that got me thinking 45° fitting, but is there enough room to go the other way? LA type intake to magnum water pump?

That one I don't know right off the top because all of that stuff is out in the shed. :D

Lucky you. All my stuff is at home, which is 1100 miles away right now.

That makes it pretty tough to make decisions on parts doesn't it? :D
One of the main reasons I went with LA drilled heads for my Magnum was to not have that problem and a few others.
One of which was paying 300 for basically one style of intake available.

What brand did you use and did yo have issues sealing the side gaskets?

I've heard several horror stories including one from my brother in law.

I also have a standing question regarding if all the knock-off castings are the same and if some do and some don't have "the issue".

I have yet to receive any answers.

No issues at all! Works great, I'm sure the others like M1 and whatever are "better" but half of them are probably made in China to unfortunately.

I have a Pro Products on my OEM headed 360 Magnum LA V belt setup. I port match everything and the port mismatch was as good as Edelbrock's I've bought. Went with the knock off so I wouldn't have to deal with the bypass hose crap.

I also have a knock off on my magnum branded as an Assault intake. I'd read some had issues but for the price difference I thought it was worth it yo give it a try. Not a single issue.

Well I have tried the 45 elbo to much angle its not possible to use the bypass hose with out kinking it. If anyone has installed the Eddy airgap magnum manifold Id like to see a pic.

You could get a 3/4" 22.5* elbow and put the regular fitting in it. Might not look as good but would make it functional

Could just plug both and drill some holes in the t stat for bypass.
