I have a 70 Swinger and it has Evaporation Control System in the fuel tank. Looking for information on this system as far as what years was this use, and in the 340 scat pack,was it a California emissions thing because haven't seen many of them

Ok, the exhaust does point downward so this does make sense. I just got the Dart last month from California and do believe it was from there originallyBecause they were an integral part of the package.
Cali figured pointing the pipes downward, as on a non tip car, would disperse some of the heavier particals into the ground rather than their smog clouds

N95 for '70 is the ECS.
N97 is the noise reduction package that relates to the tips.
