Why do trucks always want to race cars?

I've got a pretty red Dodge diesel sitting in my driveway that runs 11.0, and weighs 6500lb. Better be careful. There are plenty of them out there that will literally smoke you. FYI, this customer lives up your way.

Trucks are cool. If you like your truck that much... & you want to make it faster, then what the hell! Why not?!?!
Go for it.

I think that current truck owners know that there trucks are a good bit faster than the old rides. Over confidence is what I think they suffer from. It doesn't help that they probably beat a yester year car like a early stock Fox body or the "wrong year" (smog era) Camaro.
(With headers/loud exhaust and a choppy cam)
With that/those victories under there belt, on to more challenging races.

I get it every now and again.
Mostly in the Duster.
My response is the same, "Dude it's a slant 6 with mag wheels and a loud exhaust." get a life.

I have had my share of trucks and even drove the last one to the wrecking yard where I sold it with 492k on it, but to me trucks are for hauling and pulling stuff and cars are for racing.
Just don't see the appeal of mixing their uses I guess, but if someone wants to race their truck it's fine with me.

I wonder if the 11 sec truck can keep up on my mountain. Trucks are for hauling and climbing.
on the street the truck loses or breaks.lol

I don't race people Fred. :D
Personally I'd be happy if people just stayed the hell away from me and drove like they are supposed to.
