update on my granddaughter Kiera

Feeling a little low these days. Yes I know that my grand daughter is in the best place at B.C. Children's hospital to get better. But when you haven't been in my place its easier said then done. And Kiera wow what a strong kid she is... Been through so much **** and still puts a smile on her face. I had tears in my eyes yesterday after finding out my little tiny 5 year old grand daughter will be going through her 6th heart surgery on Dec 12th . Kiera looks at me and says it's ok I'm fine. This girl is so brave it amazes me. She's been through hell and back so many times already. I love this little girl to pieces as well as my other grand children and I am sure they know that. At this time of year we are all busy with the holiday season, our families and all the festivities. If you could take just minute and to put Kiera in your thoughts and maybe say a prayer for her that all goes well... it would mean a lot. thanks.

Kids are extordinary, they can deal with thing much better then most adults. she is a cutie. thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
 
Thanks for the update, Peter, and the prayer request for beautiful Kiera. She says she'll be fine and I believe that, hard as it is for you in the meantime.

Lord Jesus,
I pray for little Kiera right now ,
That you would comfort her and lift her up in your arms ,
Guide the doctors hands , and give them wisdom .
Also comfort her parents , grand parents , and her whole family .
I pray for a speedy recovery and a blessed Christmas .

Many thanks to all of you for your support, kind words and prayers. Kiera had her surgery yesterday on the 19th. She is still in the ICU ward at BC Children's Hospital. This afternoon they gave her morphine for the pain and she is on a pressurized breathing machine to assist her. The doctors are pleased with her results and will provide the family with an update tomorrow. In spite of all she has been through we know she is a fighter and we hope for the best.

Thanks for the update and positive report from the docs. That had to be a long week waiting for them to do the surgery. She looks good! Will keep praying.

Kiera is coming out of ICU later today and is going up to the ward. The surgeons and specialists don't think she'll be home for Christmas but we I'm sure that Santa will still find her in the hospital. LOL.
