Will I have deck height issues with a Weiand dual plane on my 71 Scamp?

I have a 71 Scamp 904 auto that currently has an old and very ugly Edelbrock Performer intake. Also a newer Edelbrock carb. Don't know the cfm rating. I just purchased a Weiand 8007 dual plane intake. Also a set of 302 heads that are in the machine shop getting a 3 angle and a lite milling .10. Bought the Felpro .40 head gaskets. I also bought a 340 grind cam with new lifters and 340 exhaust manifolds. Already have MSD. The block is a stock 1972 318 LA. I see that the dual plane has a higher deck height and I am worried about it hitting the hood once everything is installed. Any other advice would be welcome also. First time posting in this GREAT forum.

Is that the stealth or action plus? I think you will at least need a drop base air cleaner.

Use some moldeling clay on the top of the air cleaner and gently close the hood to check for clearance. I have the same manifold ( Action Plus) and IIRC it was about an inch clearance

Hey, you didn't run out and buy all those cool new parts to turn around and let a thing like a hood slow you down - did you? IF it hits, I have two words for you - fiberglass hood.

Another option for modeling clay is
PlayDough. Available at any 99 cent store for just under a dollar

Mancini has a drop base for the MP air cleaners. Ether the unsilenced or the ribbed. This one clears a '67 Cuda with the same intake.
