1967 barracuda non ac car. Would like to add ac to the car. Have installed both vintage and classic in other mopars and was hoping for some suggestions from the brain trust. Thanks for taking the time. Jeff

Sounds like this is going to be a custom install from the get go. More than likely your going to to have to fab the comp. mounting brackets.

360 with six pack plan on mounting compressor low on fuel pump side.
I had imagined the same. Lots of FWD have their compumper hung low. They also have plastic shrouding to keep that drive clutch clean and dry that my old Plymouth doesn't have. I don't know how many mud puddles a a/c clutch could withstand. Good luck with it.

I used the VintageAir Gen 5 in car kit and custom fit the underhood components in both my '70 E-Body and '68 A-Body. The '70 used the Bouchillion under alternator kit and needed the belts rerouted to get better pulley wrap on the compressor, but no big deal. The '68 used the Magnum Serpintine belt set-up with the stock compressor location. In both cases, I opted for a larger condenser to better fill the opening.

Were you able to keep hoses under fender instead of on top in the abody. ?
I’ve done a couple and I like keeping the firewall clean along wt the engine compartment. Finished a b body with everything hidden everyone mentions it.
Just was hoping to hear for this group because of the wealth of info.
I have had to add idler pulleys to get more belt wrap on some. Especially when alternator is driven by same belt as compressor

I believe I could have, but chose to run then in the engine compartment. You can see them in this photo.

Nice engine compartment ! I like the way you incorporated the fresh air intake.
Is that a sanden 5 or 7 compressor. ?
How much clearance do you have at air cleaner to compressor?
Are you using one v belt to drive alt and compressor? Thanks for the info

I couldn’t see the serpentine belt at first viewing. So please forgive the v belt question. Lol
