Hello , can anyone inform where to get new front disc's for my Barracuda. My Barracuda came out from factory with front disc's installed. Disc outer diameter ruffly 11" with small (5x4,0") bolt pattern. There start to be some vibration and I don't know where to get new ones?

If I am right those are Kelsey-Hayes styles brakes, are those anymore available or is there easy swap of those?

Thanks for your help, I will open one side and check those measures. You know, from here in Finland those are difficult to get, I have rebuild almost whole car and I need to use your help, who got parts near by. I just finaliced swap of rear differential, I have now Yokon mounted. Waiting for better road conditions, we still have some snow on the roads, damn...

How about brake shoes, do you have info for those?

If your Barracuda has fixed calipers with 4 pistons each it is almost certainly the Kelsey - Hayes system. Only exception would be a very early drum car refitted with Girling calipers - I think that was only for rally and development purposes, never production.

Several companies machine and brand the replacement disks. Bendix, Borg Warner, Centrix (under several names) and possibly Wagner. As best I can tell, currently the raw castings come from one supplier.
You want the ones with best machining. Make sure the 'hat' is machined otherwise the casting may kiss the caliper or piston boot every rotation.

I doubt a vibration relates to the disk itself. That said, the originals and old stock replacements were sold as hub-disk assemblies and you will see little weights in the rotor vanes. It seems likely the factory was balancing them, but I've never heard anyone say they had an issue.

Check wheel bearings, make sure there is no play and check the wheels for balance. More likely a wheel lost a weight.
With a dial caliper, you can check runout. There's photos in the various MTSC booklets about those systems - Master Technician Service Conference - Chrysler's Training for Mechanics The shop manuals are great - you can buy or download digital versions.

Pads are D11, same as used on several years of Mustangs and a few Corvettes. Many choices in lining material are available.

Mattax, thanks for your comments, mine disc and hub is Kelsey Hayes, that is sure now. I describe the problem wrongly. Actually there is knocking with low speed, when I drive faster naturally I can't hear it. The reason is that disc is not in balance any more, there is run out on disc and brake shue is knocking against disc surface. I haven't check the run out yet. Maybe it will disappear once I check and adjust the wheel bearing. Anyway I will replace new pads and check the pistons as well.

Rock Auto was stocking the calipers for awhile, I'm pretty sure they have the other wear parts as well!!
