I am ordering this:

Lokar Hi-Tech Kickdown Kits KD-2727U

do I need this bracket:

Lokar Throttle Cable Brackets SRK-4000

This for a la 360 with a holley 4 barrel, 727. I plan on putting a sniper on later on once I get engine broke in. I know I can search and find this, but I am so burnt out between work and getting car painted that I literally am brain dead. I am ordering 20 or 30 parts a night for assembly. So please help a broken soul out please.

When I put the Lokar kickdown on my 340, I had trouble with the little "L" shaped bracket that bolts on the tranny, by the tranny kick down lever. It kept bending, so I fabbed one up out of a piece of steel angle iron and iliminated that problem. The cables tend to stretch, when new, but after they are used a while work good. Just remember the outer cable housing is a fulcrum. I shortened mine up as I didn't need the whole lenght. Shorter cables work better. The trick to adjusting the cable, is to have some one under the car (safley), to hold the kickdown lever on the tranny all the way forward, then pull all the slack out of the cable, to get the proper adjustment. Then put the spring back on the kick down lever, to hold it in posistion. Hope this helps.

I had the kickdown kit and got the brcket for it in my last Mopar, if I get the kickdown kit again I think I will make my own bracket. i found the Lokar one kept moving around and I just couldn’t get it to,work properly

weird.. have had that set up on numerous cars and have never had an issue like that...
“Weird” you have described me in a single word my friend. I would not discount that it was my distinct lack of ability causing my problems

lol.. maybe the cables were adjusted too tight? i noticed that most who broke throttle cables had then adjusted way too tight.

I have the Lokar throttle cable with the Lokar kickdown cable and their bracket that attaches to the carb mounting stud. I am very happy with their stuff. I had no stock kick down linkage when I got my car so rather than piecing something together I went with a cable. I believe it is way simpler of a system and easy to set up.
