What company are you using for your muscle cars? I just got a quote back from State Farm for $600 a yr for a $15,000. I live in Maryland and I will register the car as Historic which basically means it can't be a daily driver and driven only a few thousand miles a yr, etc. The quote I got seem high, so I'd like to check out my other options.

I use Hagerty Insurance in Canada. Two classic cars $26,000 and $30,000 values. Total for both cars is $450 a year. It looks like Maryland Permanent Insurance Group is the carrier for Hagerty Ins. in your area.

I have Hagerity and have 3 cars on it, 2010 SRT, 74 Duster and a 71 Cuda. Cost for all 3 is about $1200 a year. I have Geico for everyday vehicles. It was areal big savings dropping Geico on the Hagerity vehicles now.

American modern on mine 25k policy and i pay $250 a year.

I have 2 cars with Hagerty, listed as less than 2500 miles a year on both. $180.00 annually for both cars.
I believe one valued at $8,000, the other at $12,000, which I should probably increase. Both cars have to be
garaged.

I use Grundy out of PA. I cover my 69 Camaro for $27000 and my 1954 Ford Country Sedan for $10,000 and I believe I'm at $297 a year. It does have mileage limitation but comes with tow service. I had to make a claim on the Camaro years back after a very bad front tire blow out on the freeway and they were great to deal with. We still haven't gotten the 1970 Dart going but I'll be adding that soon......I hope!

JC Taylor. They do agreed value, assessed value and they do have a mileage cap or you can opt for a time period to drive it, say March Thru October. They are cheaper than most and reliable. Good company. However, they will require photos of your car inside and out, any major rot, they wont cover you.

67 Barracuda $30,000 agreed value - $ 190 per year full coverage
No Bullshit I have paperwork to prove it.

Have Grundy on my '70 duster insured for $30k cost $302.00 a year..

American Modern here. It's 250 a year on 25K agreed on value.
Had a claim three years ago and I expected the hassle on paying. But they paid very quickly and didn't raise my premium.
Talked to an agent on the phone and he was in the process of doing the body work and painting his 70 Duster. Spent 1/2 hour talking about our cars rather than insurance.

Me and my boss were talking about this today. He said he pays about $300 for 30K through hagerty.
Btw, not much savings going historic or street rod like it used to be. Look into it before pulling the trigger. Last car I registered I just went with regular tags because the cost was close and I didnt want to deal with the limitations....even though they are not really enforced around here.

Infinity Ins Co. Five vehicles valued at $129,500.00 for $839.00 per yr

Hagerty.

Also here in Connecticut when a car is registered as antique- no mileage or month limits BUT property taxes are fixed on vehicle cost (based on town mill rate) at $500 limit. In my town both the Demon and the Barracuda cost me like $30 per year in property taxes.

Watch statefarm ins ( i have statefarm and am happy with them) but my agent told me that with full coverage on my dart i would be lucky to get 1000.00 if it was totaled. Full coverage doesnt necessarly mean anything. Agreed value is a diferent case.

i went to state farm who i have regular insurance on my daily to get just liabiliy on my b5 71 swinger and they refused to insure it because it has rust in the rear quarters. i thought that was very odd. i just wanted to cruise it around a little. geesh

Basically the same for me with my A100, cancelled State Farm and went with Hagerty and with agreed value, was cheaper albeit limited use.

I use ZEHR Insurance up here in Canada. I'm covered for much more than I can get retail for the car. It's under $600cdn a year. Hagerty refused to cover my car due to the value.

Riddler

Grundy, 146 a year. Had a engine fire right after I insured with them. No hassles at all paid it and more. And unlimited mileage.

Do I understand that Hagerty will insure newer cars now?
The 2010 Challenger?
For unlimited use?

Sounds like not unlimited use, "for non everyday use".

I just got my Duster on a Hagerty policy, used to be on Nationwide and i'm so glad I switched. My dad bought my Duster for me 10 years ago for $3k and Nationwide wouldn't cover it for more unless I got an appraisal, receipts and records of all the work, yada yada. Since it's my first car and i've had it so long with obvious sentimental value Hagerty valued the car at $30,000!! I have full coverage with a 3000 mile/year limit, roadside assistance, 60 miles free flatbed towing and more for $750 a year. For minimum liability 'daily driver' coverage just to be legal in CO I was paying that much if not more through Nationwide.

My favorite part about Hagerty is if the car gets totaled they give you the money AND the car back, no questions asked! So if I do crash my Duster I can go buy and build a much nicer one lol. Not that mine is replaceable I pray that never happens.

Wow, this is confusing. I have The Hartford on my vehicles. 5 total, full coverage on 3, about $900 a year. I have a '66 Chevelle that they told me they no longer do agreed value coverage on. Checked with Hagerty, and it was I believe about $600 a year. Went to State Farm and got $32,000 agreed value for about $250 a year.
