I am looking for a set of 2 heater vent tubes for a 1972 Duster. It would be great if the snap rings where also included. My Duster only had one and it is pretty thrashed but I can piece one together if some one has a tube or tubes in repairable shape.

Thanks!

They don't take snap rings. There are clips that lock the on. That is why they rip like yours did. there is a trick to getting them off in one piace, Some of the AC models they had a plastic lock strap built in and they were more durable. But the hoses are different sizes

Plenty of threads here about installing aftermarket. Search defrost tubes.

Any good auto parts store sells that hose . I've bought it many times. Just bring a piece in to make sure you get the right stuff and size

If I am seeing your hose correctly, yours is much like mine- the hose actually "tapers", it is 2" at one end and 2 1/4" at the other end. No one makes a replacement hose like this. All "replacement hoses" are 2" and some come with an adapter. Yes, most are attached with a clip that makes it almost impossible to remove without tearing the hose. This is why it is so hard to find good replacements. The example you are showing with the little plastic 'latch" was used on some models, but not as common.

Here are clips to defroster vents, also on heater box
Note tube goes inside each other at heater box ends
Little hard to see but heater box ends are different
These are NOS, last sold by Chet’s Auto parts for $140/pair

Wow. As always great response, and thank you for the corrections, tips, and how to articles. I will poke around the repair and how to articles this weekend when I have some time to work on my Duster, and If I cannot affect a repair I will contact the seller and arrange shipping.
Thank you all for the prompt information.
