Playoff Hockey Pool

...and I forgot TBL was also 1st in PP and PK, but couldn't get either working vs CBJ.

They gotta be waking up thinking "WTF just happened"? They looked awesome for 82 games. Stamkos and other big guns gotta figure out how to overcome this. But boy I dont think I've seen bottom feeders knock off #1 overall.

Yep, I am pretty amazed about CBJ vs TBL.... and NYI over PIT. Dang....

One of the commentators may have gotten it right... CBJ has been playing intensely for a month already just to get in the playoffs while TBL has just been cruising to the season's finish.

The LA Kings did it a few years ago. they were 8th also
Last year they almost beat the Caps, they are a good team.

Here ya go YY1

Actually it's a plurality of former New York Rangers.

But that's funny.

Agree.

Penns have lost something, even from last year.

Trotts didn't miss a beat.

How about Leafs/Boston?

Another somewhat of a surprise.

Kuch should be good and hungry tonight.
............

I would trade Letang to the Ice Capades.
Malkin... Invisible.
Crosby is still the best.

My opinion TBL got so used to coasting at the end of the season they lost their edge. My Jets are just barely hanging on. Calgary is to erratic. The whole thing this year is a crap shoot. No way on earth I saw the Penguins with a broom on them. Kind of like the Blackhawks, with that kind of talent they have to be sitting in a room wondering WTF. Knowing management is going to shake the tree for sure as a result.

Tampa did show that they could beat Boston this year.
That was late in the season.

Also beat Washington late in the season.

Toronto is giving the B's a run as is Carolina giving to the Caps.
Not sure many saw those coming.

Columbus did a good job limiting puck possession
All but took away the long pass
and totally removed the slap shot/one timer from Tampa's game

If there was one Bolt with the puck, there were 3 or 4 Jackets on him, and no other bolts in frame to pass to, unless they were less than 3 feet away and at an odd angle, making for a very poor pass.

Not sure how they did that, but that's what I saw.

A couple times Bolts tried to play "heavy" vs CBJ like what worked vs Bruins and Caps, but that only took Bolts off the ice with no reciprocal box time for Col.

Its wide open now imo, anything can happen and anyone can win. I thought jets would win for sure. It's a grind.
Leafs gotta win this one in beantown.
GO LEAFS!

Toronto series is the only one working out like I guessed... I would have lost on every other match up.
Crazy !

Absolute blown opportunity. Andersen made 5 or 6 top shelf saves. 0 for on the PP? WTH...game 7 in enemy territory. Gotta rise to the challenge!

LOL

LV gives up a shorty in double overtime to lose...

Wow Preds gone too. Congrats Dallas! Carolina beats Wash, so game 7 there as well. Leafs vs Boston, Vegas vs San Jose Carolina vs Wash.
Upsets a plenty!

Seems like lots of either 4 game sweeps or game 7's this year.

It will be interesting to see what Columbus can do, depending on who they get next round. they will be rested for sure, but may be too rested.

I had them to go deep 2 years ago, but it didn't happen.
This year they have added a few key pieces of the puzzle and it seems to be paying off. Miraculous transformation starting in the second period of gm 1 vs TBL!!
