Single plane Torker II

Well we'll see what the Mopar fan engine builder says in town when I'm ready to do the 340
Richie, are you using Mark at pendozi machine? He is good at what he does and has done many engines for my brother and I. I recommend him and would at least chat with him, do some comparison shopping.

Probably Jerry at Okanagan Engines..That's the one place I haven't been. I've been to Cutting Edge, K&S Machine and Okanagan Engine Rebuilders. I know when you're up at Thunder Mountain you're always hearing that machine shop..Pendozi Machine over the load speaker all the time.

Yep, Mark knows his stuff, and isnt all about spending your money unnecessarily. It is worth a call to chat with Mark.

I've heard everything from not good to good things about them.
IMO the standard Torker isn't worth a hoot until you get the rpm's way up. I had one on a 360 and switched it to a RPM air-gap and it made way more power throughout it's rpm range, which it peaked at 5800. The Torker 2 seems to be much better. A buddy of mine had a air-gap on his 340 and put a Torker 2 on it and surprisingly it took off just as hard and definitely pulled harder after 4500 all the way to 6000 where he shifted

His build must have been a stout one because I have experienced the opposite.

Member UOP used the RPM vs a M1 loosing around down to the 11 second flat area. And that seems to make sense to me in retrospect since the M1 is an actual race intake.

I hear ya. I remember reading about UPO's swap not working out good. My buddies 340 really wasn't much over stock. 9.8 to 1 compression, Comp solid flat 242/250 at .050" and cleaned up J heads. He did have 4;10's in it and a 3500 stall which I'm sure helped. That's the only time I saw such positive results of using a single plane on a lower rpm engine

There is so much more to consider..... gear ratio, auto/ standard, torque converter specs, the list goes on.in the big picture, a single plane is just fine in an a body unless other things hold it back.

Can't wait to give my victor 340 intake a try. Also to make things even more fun plan is to install dual snorkel scoop on my hood (dart sport) and set filter up as cold air system.

I'll do that then. I notice that when you go into some places right away they are steering you towards things that you don't really want in the first place.
