What are some general values on a 65 barracuda 273 Auto? as in basket case/good/fair/excellent condition? I know I could check the "book values" but I would like the opinion off the street so to speak.

I bought a basket case, no motor and pulled apart for $750.
Body was fairly solid. Basically a full size scale modoel im building.
There was what looked to be a nice gold one for sale here on fabo a while back,if i recall a slant 6 car. Was asking $5000 for it.
There have been a few up here, 6 thousand to 15 thousand.
The higher priced one was done, no idea how good any of them are.

Buying/ selling are from different perspectives,
Prices vary, all depends how much someone wants to spend and what it needs for work, or whats hidden under the carpet..

I would pay 6-800 for a rusted out one with a complete interior.

I literally just bought one last night. I paid $2,800.00 for it.

I paid the equivalent $4k for a fair condition 10 years ago. Slant car, auto, pretty and driving condition.

Thanks. I see one in my area going for 3 Grand, it looks like it needs to be towed, but I have parts to get it running(as in spare 318 motor anyway) and I figure how much to rebuild a Torqueflite right? I dunno, I am eyeing it, I may or may not jump. Thing is, it would sit for a while until I get to it, but I have always liked that bog "Fishtank" rear window on them,.

I guy here in Michigan offered me a 64 Valiant, complete and completely rust free, came with a 360/727/8 1/4” and LBP front discs, and the rotisserie it was on for $2k. I passed because I have too many projects, but it was a great deal on a rock solid project.

I just saw a more door 65 Valiant on a flatbed today, no glass and heavy patina but it had brand new meats on new looking Rallies. Someone was interested in it enough to transport it and it wasnt going to the wrecker.....I found my 65 "S" for $800. Totally complete, running driving warehouse survivor more than 20 years ago. They 'aint coming down in price.....

No they're not. And at least in the NE, an $800 car at best has a decent interior (or some of it), and usable doors and roof. Having a driveline would be a bonus. If you want running and driving, it's $1500+. If you want all one color with that, add $500. If you want that color to be one color and shiney paint add $2K.
