I have a 1975 Dodge Dart Sport with a 360 and power steering. What types of headers is everyone running on a set-up like this? I currently have just stock manifolds, but want to switch over to headers - and I know that the drivers side is a nightmare to fit especially with power steering, and with where the torsion bar is. Thanks in advance.

You do realize asking that question of this mob is like asking for cam selection input. I will start the debacle with my personal opinion of TTI or Dougs.

If driving VS. racing I'll say..... stick with manifolds, even if you have to find the 1968-70 340 versions.

I've used the cheapies, and I just installed a set of Dougs. I highly recommend the Dougs. But they all work, but with Dougs it was about fitment and quality. Oh, I just changed the starter with the Dougs, and it was as easy as doing it with manifolds.

Just my personal experience, of course

Dougs coated is the best value for fit. If you can get them in the states with the 20% off code that autozone runs, even better.

I bought Patriot by Doug's for my 74 Duster. I bought them from Hardcore Performance in Saskatoon. They are cheap and fit well, only requiring one small dent on the drivers side. They do hang really low on the drivers side though. I will eventually replace them with TTI or Doug's when the funds allow. I currently have the motor out of my car, going back in this weekend.

You are welcome to check out the issues with my headers if you want.

I have used Summit Brand, Hedman, and Dougs in a 73-74 Dusters with small block and used TTI for big block in a 75 duster.

The cheaper headers don't have as thick of a flange that bolts to the heads and sometimes the header gasket leaks or doesn't seal up as well. The cheaper brands also have the steering linkage go thru the headers and hang lower.

The Dougs and TTI headers cost more and you should use a mini starter.

I used Doug Part Number D453 (If I remember correctly) on my car and didn't have any fitment issues. I would spend a little more up front for the headers to get a better quality header that SHOULD last longer and give you more ground clearance.

Does Year one still offer their repro 340 manifolds? has anyone tried em? I am seeing the price of original 340 manifolds go up, the repops may be a option in the future. Yeah I have ran headers onthese cars, the cheap ones crush flat on drivers side, I agree the TTI are good ones. Dont go cheap on any of it, it isnt worth it and you end up buying the good stuff in the end.

is your engine built to a level where headers will make a noticeable improvement
