Why spend the money to attend an event when you stare at your phone constantly?

So does performing a Call For Fire count?

Performing route reconnaissance?
Screen operations?
Security missions?
Maneuvering ground forces?
Coordinating with fixed wing in a stack?

You know we integrate with UAVs from the cockpit now as well.

No, no, and no. These things are all related to the job that you have been trained to do and are able to do it extremely well.

Would you add in surfing the web on your phone while doing it and believe that you could still do all those things well?

Nope. Doing several things related to a single job is not multitasking. Unrelated tasks added in is.

Re-read...

Multiple things being done within a task like flying is not the same as multitasking.

Nope. That’s like a cop driving with lights and sirens on while talking on the radio and avoiding traffic at high speed. Add in a task unrelated to that like surfing the web on his cell phone and it becomes multitasking.

I would guess it's stupidity. We have a mindless segment of society now. They're rude as hell talking and playing with their phones in restaurants being loud and obnoxious.....in fact, Kitty and I were out couple weeks ago at her favorite Mexican joint. Guy right behind us was talkin LOUD on his phone and had it on speaker. I asked him politely over the back of my booth to please go outside so we could eat in peace. He said and I quote "get fucked old man". Now, when I was younger, I was a tough customer. I'm still a big guy and when I get up, I can be imposing. Which is what I did. Turned around and looked him dead in the eye and said "follow me outside and say it again" and I proceeded to the door. He got up and stopped me and apologized and said "we ain't gotta do all that". He was a little pipsqueak, but I'm still glad he didn't take me up on it. I would have to hurt him right off the bat, because if I didn't he would have hurt me. I told him "fine, but there's no need to be rude and cuss your elders. maybe remember that next time". He actually said "yes sir" and went outside and finished his call. I'm getting to where I put up with that type thing less and less. It's probably gonna get me in trouble one day.

He must have just about crapped in his pants when you got up.
Good thing he realized he was wrong. I wasn't even there and im kinda pissed at the guy. Good for you!
