Anyone ever run Speedmaster Heads on their small blocks

When did you order them? How long did it take to get shipped?

Ordered and Paypaled for them on Black Friday 11/29/19, received a receipt shortly after that day and a shipping notification and Tracker from FEDEX the following day. They arrived late in the day Wednesday Evening.

You have a set of bare CNC'd that don't have chamber work, would you be willing to post a straight on picture of a chamber, higher res the better?

Same. My heads are in the fedex lala land, they were supposed to arrive today, but they're apparently on the slow boat.

A quicker shot to Tex than the East Coast, I was pleasantly surprised at the shipping efficiency but didn't want to rub it in.....Cali don't want to mess with the Great State of Texas...We Got Guns Down here! Ha Ha Ha!

Same here, delayed till tomorrow.

Looking at the pics of the chambers of 70aarcuda's heads and of hemioutlaw's, the spark plug locations are different

How about starting with whether the heads as delivered are for example: usable as is, acceptable, adequate, a good start, good bang for the buck out of the box, obviously show the faults that can't be overlooked, etc .
I plan to do this. It will be my assessment in a video, and it will be done at my house. Sometime between now and Dec 31st :)

Well, then YR. enlighten us what we need done so we don’t go down the wrong path. We want it done right. This way we will know if the machinest we talk to is the right guy for the job. Thanks. Kim

You have to pay for that. But at that bowl size, I'm betting I wouldn't use a 45, and I know it wouldn't be three angles on either valve.

Any more than that and you can send them to me with a blank check.

Likely. 40% off was because it was their 40 year in business. Kim

Funny thing on mine is I was talking with the salesman at ProComp about these heads on Wednesday the 27th and even inquired about a BF sale and he said yea they'd be going down a little on Friday and that he could offer me them discounted now at $1400 for the pair. I was still on the fence about them and he suggested I talk to a Mopar Guy customer of his that buys a lot of there stuff back in Va. I have now talked with this guy a bunch of times and he really knows his chit about Mopars...way over my head, funny thing is that he doesn't even buy their heads but buys a chit ton of Turbo 400 cases from them.

I ultimately waited til friday and got them for $965 instead of the $1400 he offered, kinda pissed me off but whatever, least I got them at the better price.

What part number did you order, if you don't mind. Yours is the first set I've seen with CNC'd chambers

Mopar Chrysler SB 318 340 360 190cc 68cc Full CNC Bare Alum Cylinder Head

Y'all were going for the Flat Tappet Heads and these were stated for the Hydraulic Roller which is the kind of Magnum block the shop i'm gonna have do my prep work told me to get, I couldn't get ahold of the guy I had talked with in Va about the heads when I was ready to pull the plug and purchase on BF but spoke with him the next day and asked if I F-ed Up, he said nah, if anything the spring pockets might be deeper but they could be shimmed. No big deal

Well my delivery date went from this Sunday to next Wednesday in one day. Ordered them Monday morning and it looks like they never moved till
Today. Ohhh well, life is good.

Any advise on what we should have done to our heads. Thanks. Kim

As far as what checking them out. No not really till I have a few days with mine. Pictures are kinda hard to go by buy I think I see 6-8 cfm real quick. I have a set of “pin gauges” to check the valve guide clearance too.
