I had a buddy make me this cool sign for my birthday! A good buddy that I have raced with for years. He has a big block duster that still has drums. While he was down here to drop it off, I said hey, you want the disc brake setup off the parts car?
So I loaded them up in his trunk!

Had another racer buddy drop me off a spool for the dart that I bought from him. He wanted 75 bucks. I gave him 80 and a new voltage regulator for his kids car that I had on the shelf.

I have found that it's almost more of A hassle to sell stuff than its worth. People flaking, or wasting your time. Nice to help a few buddies out and stop tripping over stuff in the process.

I totally agree! I had a pair of over the wheel patch panels for an 80 and older Truck that I was never going to use. Was going to advertise them for sale but I saw a kid I knew on FB talking about restoring a 77 short box 4x4 so I contacted him and gave them to him. He was shocked and so happy! I do sell lots of stuff but I try and sell it cheap to help out others.
Sure I have seen a couple of my items relisted right away after but there are always those guys around too. Especially with friends I do try and pay it forward when I can!

When I moved in 2013 I had a truckload of A body and Mopar parts that I'd been hoarding for years and couldn't justify paying to haul across the country, so I called up a buddy who had a collection of Mopars and assorted other stuff, and told him to come and take it all. I just could not imagine taking everything to scrap, and I knew he would be able to put most of it to good use. Gave him a few body panels, some interior parts, front end pieces, engine parts, heater boxes, etc.

This and other reasons you ended up with the ring & pinion. Hope that worked out for you by the way......Swingn’

OK FINE, but my name IS NOT JOHNNY MAC!!!!!

lolololololololololololololololololololololololololol

It's just nice to see stuff go to use, opposed to the circus that is Craigslist or eBay.

Nice to help people and clean the parts pile up at the same time.

You're a good guy! Learning from the best! Great community we have here

Craigslist and Facebook are so disgusting to use at times agreed. No shows and time wasters. In the days of classified papers or advertisers as some were called a phone call meant that someone was really interested. If they said they were going to come check it out they were there, AS long as they could find you because there were no garmins yet!

I have given a lot of stuff away to friends I have made on this forum ranging from a few $$ to a few hundred $$ in value.

The gift is alway one of “paying it forward” and I only ask that they do the same if they decide not to keep the item.

Sometimes, helping others achieve their goals is more important than the monetary value of the item.

I have never been let down doing this, some of my parts have landed in several homes and all have continued the thought...as it should be.
