hey guys so I got a 1989 318 roller camshaft motor using the 1.5 mopar ratio rockers , if I upgrade my rockers to 1.6 ratio rollers I would need new push rods, correct? or can I just swap in a set of magnum 318 push rods?

Good question!

slant buddy
magnum pushrods will not work in a shaft motor of vice versa
do you have the stock non adj rockers now?
1.6 does not give you much for your $$$ if you by new
did you find a deal on some?
with a magnum it's cheaper
with shafts you have to watch the rockers hitting the retainers etc
you should relocate the shafts but you can get by without with a mild cam and limited revs
but you may have to relieve the bottoms of the rockers
that plus ordering pushrods will have your car apart longer than you think it will
perhaps others can post on what length pushrods work with your brand rockers and HR lifters
but not likely anyone will have your combination except the rocker mfg
I'd wait till you do the cam and then do rockers and pushrods at the same time
the cam change will make much more difference that rockers
motor stock compression?
you know the drill
maybe a new timing chain is your best move for now
drop me a note
ready for a ride in your

What's up Jim! Thanks for the info I'm just gather info for another future budget build, once this rain stop I'll give you a call and we can burn some rubber in my 67! Also still got your dial indicator which I have to return.

The problem is different length pushrods for starters and secondly the Magnums are oil through and the LA is not so you need to address that if need be. Also is it a ball and ball end or a ball and cup ended pushrod set up?
