Nice idea, but if you're not aware, there was a big wig at Chrysler at the time that didn't want a cartoon character plastered on the cars he was selling. So I seriously doubt that a hood ornament would have happened!
They are around not cheap for nos 200 or so used working 75-100. I actually see them quite a bit in my ignition parts searches. I have fixed a few of them. Drill and tap the stud and put a eyelet in works great if you have the base.
My 84 Prospector still had the Ram. I was contemplating removing it before selling the truck, but it just didnt seem right.

The funny part is that I saw it on Kijiji. I replied because I want to put one on the Ramcharger. When he answered he told me he had 3 of them. Needless to say...............
