distributor cap

do they make a distributor cap (post type) that fits the old style distributor with clips ?

Been looking for a male terminal cap to fit the OE distributor for literally years with no luck so far.
Not expecting that to change either with all the alternatives for distributors out there.
They do have posts that can go in the female cap to make it a male though if it's really important to you.
I couldn't bring myself to use them.

I got a few of those old electronic distributors in use....would be nice to get some quality cap and rotors.....

3 Darts,
Try contacting Halifaxhops, he is a member on this site.
If anyone knows where to find anything Mopar distributer related, hes the one.
Good luck.

I do not have that style with the male terminals. Never saw one of them on a oem distributor. Now good cap I come across all the time and have a bunch also.

Summit Racing® Distributor Cap and Rotor Kits SUM-G5239 one of the other menbers pointed me to this. i just like the wires with the pentastar and the numbers on them looks cool to me :)

Break up old plugs to get male terminals, use old plug wires to get in distributor terminals. Get the length right, crimp & solder. Pot with epoxy, or rtv. Check continuity.

Yea, the 30 bucks plus part.
For that it better be better quality than the first Summit branded cap I bought.
It was also the last Summit brand cap I bought.
I did find a use for it. Drilled a hole to watch the rotor positon with the timing light.

LOL, I did the same thing when I slotted the pickup plate screw holes so I could check and adjust the rotor phasing if needed.
