I purchased a new dash bezel for my 71 rallye dash Demon from Classic Industries..I don't think I need to tell any of you how expensive they are as you probably already know..Today I noticed that the satin black paint that the lower portion of the bezel is painted with is flaking off..Paying what I did for the bezel and paint already flaking off has me pissed off quite a bit..Has anyone out there ran into the same issues?....

That's a shame. I'd be on the phone getting an RMA! 1 year or 5 years, however long you've had it, it needs to be replaced. You'll be staring at that every time you get in the car.

I have the silver painted bottom and is OK. I would call them. Yes they are expensive. They are moving very slow right now due to the virus.

You're right about the "very slow". I usually drive down and pick up parts from them because their shipping is so expensive. I called them a couple of weeks ago and was told they were not yet allowing any "Will Call". I called again yesterday and was told "Will Call" is now OK but you have to place your order and then wait for telephone/email notification of your "Will Call" appointment date and time. They said they're currently about seven days out from when you place your order.

Well that is not really true. Three weeks ago ordered a part. Tracking it. Took 12 days to take it off the shelf and put it in the mail and then another 5 days to get to Bay Area, 400 mi. Just be patient.

I bought it back in October of 2017..It's been boxed up and kept in my basement which is climate controlled..Installed it a short while back and noticed today that the black paint was flaking..What's the chances of getting another one and it doing the same thing?..They paint over the chrome electroplating that the whole bezel is dipped in and the chrome is very smooth and doesn't give the paint anything to adhere to...Talk about pissed..Paying what I did for it and seeing this..I may be stuck with having to tape it up and repainting the black myself with a better quality paint..Since I bought it back in October of 2017 they'll probably tell me it's been too long to be made up with a new part????

A phone call, email with photo's and polite conversation. Pain in the a$$ is shipping it back and waiting if they do you right. That's big bucks brother, not small change and that should equate to great customer service. Word of mouth about the potential of that happening to someone else has to motivate them. I wouldn't hesitate to buy that knowing they treated another customer right, on the other hand nah.

I may just repaint it myself but let them know what happened..I'd hate to go through all the trouble of returning it and getting another bezel that does the same thing..Wonder how it would look if I took off all the black paint and left it chrome???..lol..They could at least give me some type of a credit for future orders since I've spent a great deal of money with them..I've practically bought every item I've used to build my car from them so hopefully they'll treat me decent over this..

Call them. I had some returns that were outside their time limit and they still took it back full refund.

When I was looking for a job 2 years ago I reached out to the CEO on linked in, he returned my text with a wonderful note. Good people.

I've had nothing but satisfaction and great customer service from Classic Industries, even to the point where they rang me (I'm in Australia) to confirm a couple of details with one item. Pick up the phone and call them, at least give them the chance to explain. They may/may not have come across this problem before and your feedback could be useful product development...

I will be giving them a call..I expect they'll try to fix the problem as I've spent a ton of money with them...They've always been good with customer service in the past.
