Ive been battling a cooling issue since I put the car on the road. It would get warmer than I liked and if I had to sit in traffic I would have to pull over due to getting to hot. After changing thermostat and water pump to no avail I decided if was the radiator partially plugged. No radiator shops that rod out radiators near me so I had a radiator for an old project just laying around so I decided it was good enough so I used it. Had to do a little fab work to the car and radiator but it fits and fixed the issue. Had to move the outlet down and point it out and weld mounting brackets on the radiator. On the car I had to cut the core support slightly the give enough room for the fan. Now me and the wifey are ready for Cruising The Coast next month. Don't judge my welds too harshly, Im a lab tech not a welder...lol...

By the way my wife hated the car at first and now its her car...haha

It's been said many times before, but not said enough.

'Happy Wife, Happy Life!'

You may have to grapple with her to wrest the steering wheel from her. :poke:

Oh, and good job on the welds.:usflag:

Goddammit & WTF, you young guys, listen to a boomer for once, will you?

So a guy is supposed to take on the responsibility of making his wife happy? Why?? What if she's unhappy by nature, like a lot of women are? Does that mean the husband is a failure if he can't make her happy? What a freakin' self-fulfilling prophecy! Why isn't she responsible for her own happiness? The whole idea that I'm supposed to devote my life to making an emotionally-unstable person (as, let's face it, many wives are) happy is completely repulsive to me.

That's a responsibility I'm very glad not to have. It seems to suggest that the wife is entitled to be a highly-critical, complaining primadonna with a huge sense of entitlement who is not required to cooperate with her spouse. Trying to keep a person like that happy simply rewards unreasonable behavior and leads to more of it. Also, if we were honest and consistent in this era of gender equality, we would have to admit that it's really a sexist notion, too.

Does the wife have a corresponding responsibility to make her husband happy? The slogan would appear to indicate otherwise. IMHO, guys who live by this motto are just putting themselves in a trap, and setting themselves up for grief.

Bill,
As much as I may disagree with you, I respect your opinion. So I'll keep this short.

'Happy Wife! Happy Life!'.
'It's not all about YOU!'

I think that the smile on the face of the OP's wife says it all don't you? It's beautiful! And the welds on the radiator are pretty good too.

From one Boomer to another Boomer,
Tinmannz

Hope that made you feel better Bill. If you are a long time married man thanks for your opinion...if your an old single man you wasted alot typing because I don't take marital advise from a single man. My wife makes me very happy.. That being said I do piss my wife off ALOT....lol...and I make her smile alot. Fixing the car made us both happy because now we know we can go to cruising the coast in Biloxi MS next month for our anniversary. Now back to our regularly schedule program about the car...sheesh

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
As for me,43 years of near perfect bliss.Yes even the last 10.
The secret is to what you put into your heart.
Of course, it is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and angry woman; so I could, if I wanted to, see your point.
