Holley question, what do think of Vacuum Secondary vs "Double Pumper"?

I'll take the DP. I ran a 750 DP on a virtually stock 360, stock exhaust manifolds, with stock converter and 2.45 gears and the DP cut the best 60 ft, 330 ft, 1/8 mile and 1/4. Yep, even with 2.45's and a stock converter in a 3200 lbs Duster.
*This is NOT the only project where the DP has run as good daily driving and performed better. Cost more, though

LOL...it’s only money.

I'm a streeter
I have both.
I worked thechit out of my 750VS, and thought it was running grrrrrrreat!
Then I bolted on the 750DP.
The VS ain't never going back on.
If I want smooth, I just don't stomp it. My right foot controls the show.Never going back to a smoooooth VS.
As for fuel economy, I have a separate carb; takes about 10 minutes to swap? maybe less.

IMO, the key to using a DP is getting the RPM up high enough and fast enough. For most STREET combos that can be a problem. That's why a fairly high stall converter and steep gears are generally necessary.
