Hello all
I feel like this can be done by anyone with basic fabrication skills but does anyone know how I could modify these truck mounts to fit my ‘65 Valiant K-member?

You'd probably have to cut them and change the angle of the bottom to mate with the K you are using then there will also be the height of the motor as it sits in the K to consider .It would be easier to get the correct parts

C’mon, what would be the fun in that??!

With a chop saw or plasma cutter and a welder, just about anything can be adapted. You need a genuine 273 set of brackets to use as a pattern though, so, I would just use those, unless you can borrow a set from someone as a sample to go by.

Get some small block spool mounts. Flip those truck mount brackets upside down and bolt them to the K frame. You're gonna have to shorten the part of the spool mount that sticks out past the bracket they're pressed into so that they will fit down in between the upside down truck mounts. When you get the engine in the right spot, mark where your through bolts will go through the brackets. Drill the new holes in the brackets and trim the excess off. Then put it all back together and see how close the truck brackets art to lining up to the oval holes in the K frame. If they're off just drill new holes in the truck brackets and bolt them down. Done. That's how I'm going to do the 400 in my 64.

I said flip the brackets upside down in my post, but you put them on just like they are bolted to that engine. With the flat side mated to the mount pads on the K frame. Sorry bout that.
