Tried to search this but no luck. What exactly is the difference between a spool mount six and v8 k-frame ? Is it possible to cut the mounts off the frame and reweld into the proper locations ? Looking for someone who has done this before. Thanks
 
The "ears" on the drivers side of the Slant K is taller and wider. Im not sure how different the passenger side is. I would have to measure my Slant K and my SB K, but they do appear to have some serious differences. Im sure its possible to weld your own mount on the drivers side, but you would have to work around the steering box. Even if you use the schumacher conversion mounts you still have to cut and drill the drivers side "ears".
 
Do a search. Jim Lusk had a video posted, I don't recall if that was spool or pillow mounts
