year one, problems, anyone know this?

man, this is real funny. i never thought it transmitted and went on to other things, just now seen this. funny thing, i have sent several items and lucky to get 1 or 2 replies, so i simply " . " and get all this traction. so officially, "typo, never mind". but thanks for all the input, year one is really very high on shipping and most things they carry are "not available for discount", such as: rear package tray, door panels, hardboard headliner, quarter sail panels, and by the way, the headboard has a shipping cost of almost a couple of HUNDRED dollars. and the plain old flat and small door panels are almost a hundred also. Combine chipping, nope. to mention a few.

Well, I agree with most said.

I live 30 minutes away and shipping was not an issue for me. I ordered and picked up. M&H, at the time Year One only! Lots of the other pieces the same.

Likely could have started a second business with cheaper shipping buying from them and reselling.

I get a weekly E-mail from them asking where I have been and we have this special!

Lol, some of us learned the hard way.
Some door panel clips. Can you imagine trying to pull the green one back out of a hole?....

Needless to say, I did not use these, and instead opted for the Whitegauges offerings.

I've said it before, we need a wall of shame, as to what to avoid from ALL suppliers.
It's not just Year None, but when you're a "reboxer " have some pride for crying out loud.
Dave for my untrained eye, what's up with 6 pack filter?

Steve, it's functional, however it has mismatched perforations where the ends are joined. Although I haven't counted, I believe the YO one has less pleats as well.

My Year one story goes way back, maybe to the late 90s. I ordered something there and waited and waited and waited...finally called them they said "its on back order".

Ok couldnt you have called or something. I ended up waiting till it showed up I don't remember how long but i seem to recall 6 week or more. It was "backordered from the supplier"

At that point I realized they were a middle man and have since tried to deal with direct parts manufacturers. For example I wont order upholstery from Year one when I know they use

legendary(or did) I will go direct to Legendary etc.

For years I had a UPS commercial shipping acct.At that time the cost was 40 to 55 percent less than walking in off the street. So ya, most shippers are doing OK in the shipping department.

I can’t stand that crap, total BS! I agree! They should have the decency to be upfront.
