A friend and local racer (Chevy powered dragster) had a friend and neighbor that bought a 1968 Plymouth GTX when he was 8 years old and got him into cars. Now many many years later his friend passed away last Thanksgiving. His wife knew how much my friend loved the car and knew he would take care of their baby. It is now his and to say he is happy would be an understatement

Oh boy more pics please! That color looks so good on that beauty.
I had a 67 Coronet with similar but slightly darker color.
Great story!

Good story and a happy day for the car! Can you get a fender tag photo?

That gray color is F-ugly! But the body looks nice straight and shiny. who knows if the 2 tone is original. Probably was a vinyl top and took it off.

For 1970 model year Chrysler dropped silver as an available color on a B-body and E-body. The gunmetal gray was a good color for 71.

where did the standard rocker and wheel lip trim disappear to?

I know some people are very private about fender tags so I won’t ask for a picture of that. I did ask him on Facebook if he could post up more pictures.
